A breathtaking panorama, surrounded by greenery and tranquility, located in a strategic area, not far from the nightlife and not far from the most beautiful beaches of Nosybe. It was one of the best stays I have had. Exceptional staff, kind and caring, where I also had the opportunity to make beautiful friendships. The cleanliness and management were impeccable. A warm thank you should also be given to the owners who proved to be extremely helpful and super friendly, even sharing some evenings together. I hope I will be able to meet all of you again. Before arrival Valerie the owner assisted us with all our transfers ensuring everything ran smoothly. Upon arrival our bags were carried up for us and we were greeted with warm smiles and deliciously cold welcome drinks. Treated like rock stars. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our bed was beautifully decorated with flowers and a heart shaped towel for our honeymoon. There were even hot showers (not that you need them) but after a week of cold showers it was very pleasant. The food was amazing and overall very good value for money. The Happy Komba team went above and beyond for us. I see why Valerie named it Happy Komba lodge as the staff are all very happy with big smiles always. We will definitely be back.

The owners were exceptional people - good hosts, very attentive. No scamming and very clear on how the stay works and what you should see. We have had really poor experiences in Nosy Be with hotels, however this one saved the day. Clean pool, modern rooms, AC, decent breakfast, fast wifi and attentive hosts. I absolutely loved the location, Nosy Faly truly radiates peace and tranquility. Miavaka Lodge is the perfect place to unwind, whether you’re with family, friends, or a loved one. The food was, without a doubt, the best I’ve had in Madagascar...fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly attentive and made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. There’s a wide range of activities on offer, and Nosy Faly boasts some of the most stunning scenic views of the surrounding islands, including Nosy Be and Nosy Komba. The sunsets from the swimming pool are simply magical, and the house-made rum? Easily the best I’ve ever tasted. To top it all off, I was welcomed with a lovely surprise: a complimentary upgrade to a larger tent nestled in the lush tropical gardens. Every detail exceeded my expectations...I’ll definitely be back!

Basic, but really beautiful venue. Surrounded by trees with the feel of an eco-lodge. There’s a kite shack on the beach, and from your hut you can see the bay and start kiting right from there. The staff and owner are incredibly friendly and happy to go on all kinds of trips with you. The food is excellent. Quiet.

We had two different rooms because we extended our stay. The first (#5) was close to the pool and better / more private than the second one (#6). The hotel is set 200 meters back from the beach which we liked but some might prefer to be right on the beach. When you get to the beach you are at the far end of the busy part of the beach. Turn left and there's a gorgeous stretch of almost totally deserted soft white sand with warm crystal clear water. Turn right and it's the same beach, but it gets gradually busier, and soon you get to the village of Ramena where you'll find dozens of small restaurants serving excellent seafood. The hotel also has a small swimming pool which is nice for cooling off. It's easy to arrange excursions from there. We went to the Montagne des Francais - it's well worth the effort to climb to the summit where you have a stunning 360 degree view of the bay. You can also walk to Baie des Dunes and Baie des Pigeons - it's a hot sweaty walk but totally doable. However, despite all the fuss about the Trois Baies, the beach at Orangea which is just around the headland from Ramena has got to be one of the nicest beaches in the world.

Very cozy hotel with the most personal approach to the guests ever seen. All our needs were met in time and in an extremely appropriate way. Special thanks to the bar staff - always open, kind, positive and polilingual guys, we have become real friends! Animation also was fantastic - all day long and unobtrusive activities like stretching, aquagym, darts, bocha, beachvolley and special evening programme conducted by international team of energetic guys. You are the best! We also very highly value the professionalism and personal approach of Mango SPA staff. We adore it! All this wouldn’t be possible without constant supervision and personal sacrifice of the manager and director. Special thanks for the pancake with the seaview during the sunset! Fantastic!

Philippe organised us a taxi from the airport and we were greeted with a welcome drink - a great end to a long journey. The bungalow was right on the beach with comfy beds and mosquito net service. The views are incredible, especially of sunset. There are many places to relax and hang out and my boys enjoyed the pool table, table football and the swimming pool. We also went on a guided walking tour of the local area and saw our first lemur. The food was also very good with lots of choice.

The rooms are spacious and clean. Love the private beach access. Staff are very responsive for both prior to check ins and during the hotel stay. Our flight back to Tana actually got delayed multiple times and the owner (Elma) and her staff were keeping us informed and arranged us to stay for one more night. Much appreciated! Location is great what what we wanted to do for excursion (scuba diving, whaleshark snorkelling, etc.)

We stayed in the penthouse on te second floor more than 65 square meters with a great bathroom with a jacuzzi! A comfortable king size bed flat screen tv airco and a huge terrace with a wonderful view sunset !room service with a smile! The sex tourism in the village is uncomfortable (I’m being polite). Quite a bit of hassle, though not aggressive, from vendors and massage girls. Not our kind of place. Much preferred Ile aux Nattes and Belo sur Mer, but that is because they are quiet and authentic. Nosy Be most definitely is not.

We enjoyed this laid-back town.

We enjoyed this laid-back town. Not much traffic except tuk tuks. There isn't much to do in town but it is an easy place to walk around with some old colonial buildings to admire. A few have been restored but lots more could do with some TLC. There are lots of women selling trinkets and fruit but very low key. Locals were very friendly. Many people do day trips from Diego but I would recommend overnighting nearer to those places (Montagne D'Ambre and Tsingy Rouge). I expect it would be a nightmare to be in Diego Suarez when a cruise ship is in town but that didn't happen when we were there.

Nosy Be is frequented by mainly tourist flights from Italy.

Nosy Be is frequented by mainly tourist flights from Italy. therefore French and Italian are widely spoken. There are multiple accommodation options facing onto the beach, all of which defend the sun loungers from hawkers to limit hassle. There are plenty of other restaurants as well to choose from, all a safe walk down the beach at night. Don’t forget your torch though.

Great diving and excursions but don’t stay at Hotel Ocean Beach, Nosy Sakatia as they pressurise you do excursions upon arrival, pay for food in advance (then deny it it), swimming pool quarter full of brown water full of mosquitos next to accommodation with mosquito nets with holes in it. Our family left within the hour back to Nosy Be staying at Ravintsara Wellness Hotel which was so friendly and welcoming .

Very nice trip for Snorkeling 🤿, The beach is clean, Nosybe have a lot of tiny Islands around it who we are able to visit and each of them got interesting tourist activities. Security is good. I would recommend for your next trip
