We stayed at the resort for 7nights with our 3,5yrs old daughter, I can really recommend it for families. Everybody is really nice and kind, huge thank you for the Ladies in Kids Club. Its really well equipped with toys and other stuffs. We enjoyed also the main pool, you can just lay and drink your coctail there. The sea is really good for snorkel, it has many fishes.
The breakfast and the buffet dinner was also nice, with many different meals.
The garden is incredible nice with many birds, the gardeners cleaning every morning.
Also, the resort is not far away (aprox. 30min by car) from La Vanilla park which we really enjoyed. Le Morne beach around 20min, Chamarel waterfall also 30min.
The room is quite big so you have enough space, everything was ok.

Everything was perfection, but the staff and service was truly what made my stay exceptional. A mention to the following Raj, Prakash, Yudish, Linda, Vic, Maya, Vanessa, Katriona. The hotel was pristine, the food delicious, and the spa heavenly.

Lovely location, the beaches were picture postcard.
Lovely location, the beaches were picture postcard. People were very friendly, mainly French speaking but English spoken too. It was quiet, very few bars/restaurants/cafes, no convenience type supermarkets and everyone preferred cash with most not having card machines. Too quiet for us really.

I relocated here for a day to stay closer to the airport, having come from Bel Ombre—a remarkably scenic area that is a must-visit for travellers. However, Bel Ombre has very few restaurants, most of which are expensive and widely scattered, making it challenging without private transport. Without a car, our experience was quite difficult—until we finally rented one.
In contrast, Mahébourg is far more tourist-friendly, offering numerous dining options and a pleasant seaside setting all within walking distance. Surprisingly, the overall costs were considerably cheaper than Bel Ombre

There’s not much to do in Bel Ombre except for the hotel...
There’s not much to do in Bel Ombre except for the hotel complex. There are also not really restaurants except those in the hotel complex. You are much better with a car. However the hotel complex is huge with plenty of facilities so you can easily stay at the complex for a few days if you don’t have a car/don’t want to go exploring.

The 2nd floor villa with a balcony view to the garden and sea was private with a superb vista
it had a very well stocked kitchen with excellent cooking facilities. Every attention to detail had been given with pottery and art it was aesthetically pleasing. provisions were easy to get and at short distance to obtain. what wasn’t evident from its description was its peace and privacy which for us gave the restorative and restful holiday we required.

Grand Sable is more of a location you drive through rather...
Grand Sable is more of a location you drive through rather than a place to stay. It’s a nice place to see and stop to take pictures as you drive through but not really a place to stay for any length of time except maybe one night. The name sounds like there should a beach here but there is not.

Mahebourg is a vibrant transport hub. The people are friendly and eager to assist in finding places and any needed information. The market is a must visit. I ate at the market food stalls and at Bo'Valon Mall.

the cleanliness and location was wonderful & gorgeous !
food options for buffet was good however the room service options ought to have more choice for dietry and enjoyment!
entertainment was good and fun... also the water sports option was ideal ! kind welcoming staff who were sweet hosts! thankyou!

I came in with some reservation due to the wind that was considered to be a problem by other visitors. Some others were ranking the West coast over the East Coast (we were on the East Coast) but after visiting the entire island, we were very happy about our choice.

We stayed for a day at the Shandri Beachcomber (bought a day pass) and the snorkeling from their beach was fantastic . Absolute amazing location but I wouldn't stay overnight there. Way too exensive for a dated resort and we weren't impressed by the quality of food and drink (it is an all inclusive resort) but you can't beat the location.
