- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 459 reviewsI loved the concept of staying in a cabin on an eco farm and having the staff fill my fridge with prepared meals for me to heat when ready. It combined the best aspects of camping without having to worry about meal prep or sleeping on the ground. My bed was extremely comfortable and the AC kept my room at a reasonable temperature. I thoroughly enjoyed going for walks around the farm (tip: bring hiking boots) and taking late afternoon dips in the pool, which had stunning views. I requested vegetarian meals and they were always delicious (also the portions were huge -- I was able to save some leftover food from my dinners to eat for lunch on the following days). I took a farm tour with Sophie on my last morning and it was so interesting to learn about the different plants and animals that live on the farm. All of the staff were extremely helpful, but Sophie really went out of her way to make my stay perfect. I am already dreaming about coming back again someday!Guest review byLolaGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 255 reviewsThis hotel really surpassed my expectations! Every member of staff was so polite and friendly and most even knew my name and room number. Dinner and breakfast was from a set menu, unlike the buffet meals I had experienced at other hotels. The food was unbelievable (especially the beef tenderloin) and was a beautiful candlelit meal by the sea. I arrived late, after lunch had been served, and there was no food but the chefs were so kind enough to make something just for me The infinity pool overlooking the beach was beautiful and the beach is more private and quieter here making it my preference over the nearby flic en flac beach. A fantastic experience, would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday by the sea! Thank you to all here for making my stay so memorableGuest review byShannonUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,560 reviewsFirstly a BIG THANK YOU TO Moonesh & Jason who went out of their way to help us with some issues we encountered in the hotel . ( they even what’s apped and helped me when they were off duty !) If it weren’t for them the experience for us would not have been the same ! The hotel has a lovely beach & nice pools. We went on the sea lounger which was super comfortable & we swam with the dolphins ( which is guaranteed otherwise they don’t charge you ). We did get out of the resort daily to do some activities as not many activities going on at the hotel . The Spa was also super ! We weren’t super lucky with the weather - if it were sunny our stay would have been even more pleasant !Guest review byTriciaMalta

- From $737.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 148 reviewsTop standard hotel and resort. Spacious, well designed and perfectly equipped villas. Relatively good privacy. If not for the common inner court areas privacy would rank at top. Great service, adequate to a price. True variety in restaurants, they are totally not alike as in some resorts. Beach is not top notch for sea swimmers, but that is a general thing at Mauritius. Still good for sport and jogging. Overall expensive but is worth it.Guest review byAlexeiRussia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 669 reviewsOn Arrival, of their own accord, they upgraded us to a better Seaview Unit, which we really appreciated. It was our 4 th Anniversary. They also surprised us that evening with a bottle of Pink Rose Wine and Rose petals on our bed. Their Gift was a Great Blessing. We ll definitely be back in the future. Walking on the beach was fun, and the water allowed easy swimming even for the not-so-strong swimmer. The food carts added restaurant variety. We had good meals at Bouganvillea and Chez Pepe, but also enjoyed eating in and watching the sunset. Lovely shopping, interesting people, and the public bus service worked for us. However, it was interesting that the same trip was free outbound and then cost 100 rupees (3 people) for the return trip (with no tickets issued).Guest review byDivyaSouth Africa - 10.0

Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is impressive, in the public beach you have to possibility to see the see turtles. The place is a piece of paradise. Definitely worth to go and to spend some time there. I would recommend an hotel next to the le Morne beach most of the hotel do not have the possibility to eat or rent the sun bed just daily. Also I would recommend the experience of swimming with the dolphins that is offered almost everywhere.Guest review byAnnaItaly - 8.0

We liked the area close to the Riviere Noire Reserve and it was convenient for the quieter beaches on the south coast. We recommend a guided tour of the Ebony Forest Reserve. We had a fascinating day out with a very knowledgeable guide and saw a lot of birdlife; the views out to sea are also stunning. Be warned: driving in Mauritius is not easy, even with satnav! We got lost several times, especially around Port Louis. If you choose to go to Port Louis, we recommend using the local bus. There is a bus stop two minutes' walk from the apartment (shortly before London Way supermarket). You can pick up a bus at about 7.30 am and return on a 119 bus at 30 minutes past the hour from Immigration Square near the waterfront of Port Louis. If you want to eat out, the Happy Rajah restaurant on the main road serves good value Indian food. The fish thali is particularly tasty.Guest review byVirginiaItaly - 10.0

It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more fabricated hotel resorts. Lots of locals who know one another and it feels safe, if a little rough around the edges. It has its own cultural and geographical charm that seems to differentiate it from other parts of Mauritius. Lots of places to eat, a good supermarket - seems expensive for the area, but I think this is quite common. Good offers of boat hire to get over to Ile aux Benitiers, which is well worth it. Close proximity to the lovely Morne peninsular and Black River Gorges National Park and surrounds.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Sure La Preneuse is the nearest beach, though If you're looking for the best beaches around, take that trip to Le Morne beach, it's worth it. We went to the only Thai restaurant in the area,'Ousaporn', indeed an oasis in that small town, great Deco, felt right, the staffs were admirable, the food was succulent but portion were quite small disproportionately over-priced . A day at the beach at Flic en flac is worth the tour, watch the sun set into the deep sea, then hit one of the restaurant around the area.Guest review byYogeshSpain - 10.0

this is amazing place, the view is breathtaking, the chalet is spacious, very calm, the food is satisfying and the staff is very supportive and helping. it is ideal for a short stay as if you would like to do more tours the location is bit far from everything and very challenging to reach. the best is to stay there and visit the nearby places around Chamarel.Guest review byDragicaUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0

Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.Guest review byAndrijaCroatia - 2.0
Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel.
Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel. Financial exploitation defines the taxi drivers. Financial exploitation dominates the boat rental services. Financial exploitation extends even to the zoo. Exploitation is the main theme, and as a city, it offers nothing enjoyable.Guest review byMohamed Zaher - 10.0

lovely shopping complexes, boutiques, restaurants, and supermarket if you are self catering. Great place to tour around, for a heli-copter ride in the south to see the underwater waterfall, and go to the Ebony ForestGuest review byCelia ColemanSouth Africa - 6.0
La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly.
La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly. Le Morne (which is very close) is the only place nearby with a nice beach, but it is widely occupied by luxury hotels. another problem with La Gaulette is that it is not usable as a base for visiting Mauritius, becasue is far away from all main attractions except 7 color earth and Black River falls.Guest review byUgoBItaly
