This hotel is by far my best experience in the Maldives. Everything was well thought, smooth and centered around genuine connection. All the staff members without exception are super welcoming and always attentive, from the booking to the transfer to the actual stay. It gives the unique atmosphere of being at home. They have organized everything so smoothly. The hotel activities and excursions are custom made and offer a private and privileged experience. The crew knows the area by heart and gives so many insights on the wildlife. The rooms are very spacious, super clean and with amazing views. The breakfast changes everyday and is very fresh. The hotel restaurant is also amazing and very affordable. The private beach is the best of the island and the reef is very vivid for snorkeling. Overall, the experience is unforgettable and gives the perfect blend of local but also soothing.

An absolute gem in the Maldives. The island is amazing and still pristine, the locals are very friendly and the hotel itself is AMAZING. It gives you a feeling of staying at a friends house. They also have Fina diving centre, the first free diving school in the Maldives. Free diving with Ismail (the owner) was the best possible way to explore the island and the rich ocean life.

Staying at Anantara Kihavah for our honeymoon exceeded all our expectations, and our holiday on the beautiful island was truly magical! We were greeted onto the island by bongo’s,the staff welcoming us on the pier and serving us fresh coconut water before our lovely villa host,Harnie drove us on a buggy through the lush island plantations to our incredible, newly renovated, spacious and private over water villa, which offered full sea and beach view, and from where we enjoyed complete tranquility. The staff was impeccable! They always went out of their way to make each of our experiences memorable and personalized, remembering our names, surprising us with honeymoon cake, champagne and decorations and always offering us our preferred drinks for breakfast and dinner. Every night, we were taken on an amazing culinary journey at one of the five incredible restaurants, that offer cuisines from around the world and each in a beautiful setting, overlooking the water. Our favorite restaurants were “spice” and “sea” - Sea is the under water restaurant, from where we were taken on a gastronomic journey of a five course meal, six meters under water, experiencing the “message in a bottle” immersive dinner whilst marveling at the sharks, stingrays and more fish than you can imagine, peacefully swim around us in unison. The amazing execute chef,Joachim prepared our dessert on the table, like a masterpiece too beautiful to eat,and he was always present at the restaurants, ensuring guests were enjoying their outstanding meals. Another “wauw” experience was the snorkeling, which we thoroughly enjoyed and we were so impressed by the abundance of marine creatures and sea life, swimming around, just feet below the surface of the Indian Ocean. It felt so calm under the water, and as though the fish were inviting us to join them in their underwater World. Anantara Kihavah is truly one of the BEST resorts we have ever stayed at and we loved every moment of this unforgettable honeymoon.

Drinks: We paid for all inclusive and the drink selection was huge! Several straight liqueurs (like vodka, two types of rum, tequila etc) you could mix with any soft drinks, about 10 cocktails to choose. Food: The buffet was incredible, the choices varied every meal but with some staples that were always there. The chef would cook in front of you - some days was burgers, some pastas, always eggs in the morning but with waffles as well! The table service was amazing, always making sure you had drinks. Dinner outside was great, with mood lighting on the tables as well. Rooms: We stayed 3 nights in a pool beach villa and it was HUGE and room service included every day. They cleaned the pool every day as well. They even set up a honeymoon decoration. The outdoor shower was brilliant! We then spent 2 nights in an over water villa and it was STUNNING! Smaller but it doesn’t matter, the views are unbelievable and there’s a reef about 100 metres up from the over water villas. We saw two black tip reef sharks which was just incredible, they didn’t bother us and was AMAZING to swim so close to them. People: The workers went above and beyond, always making sure you were comfortable and happy. They memorised our drink orders by the end of our stay. Afa handled most of our stay and moved us into a nicer room for our honeymoon - she really was amazing, thank you Afa! The workers were always doing something to make sure the island looked perfect: raking the sand footpaths, organising people’s beach chairs etc. passing anyone on the footpaths, they always said good morning or hello. Activities: I did a scuba dive and my husband snorkelled - we were the only ones on the boat, we were able to sit on the roof and look around. A pod of dolphins swam to the boat and my husband saw a sea turtle. I saw dozens of lion fish and moray eels, as well as abundant fish of all kinds. Easy dive and extremely enjoyable.

This was our second stay at this property with a few years between… and Milaidhoo is even better now than when it first opened. The staff were exceptional. The food was impeccable, wonderfully highlighting Maldivian cuisine amongst a range of international dishes. The wine list holds its own against any Michelin starred restaurant, featuring the best wines of the new and old world. The resort reef is an absolute pleasure to snorkel or dive, and it’s within a few meters of the beach! Unlike many other reefs in SE Asia and the Pacific, there is no pollution here. We had some very heavy downpours during our stay over NYE but the staff accommodated, adapted and moved the events under cover without missing a beat. Simply exceptional.

Dusit Thani was a real treat, and was the perfect tonic after an intense 12 months of work. Snorkelling at the UNESCO biosphere reserve was a true highlight. Shout out to the staff who were all wonderful, especially the footballers at the market. Great to see the organised soccer matches for staff at nightfall - makes you think that staff are well looked after which contributes positively to the overall experience. It was also nice to see John the General Manager getting around the tables at dinner time to speak to the residents - it was a nice personal touch. Accommodation, food, the amenities - all amazing, and cycling around the island turned out to be a whole lot of fun. We will return!

amazing property with modern, colorful and spacious room with private atmosphere. communication worked excellent via a dedicated Finohlu App as for the overwater villa walking distance was about 15-20 mins to beach house and bar so used mostly a buggy pick-up. food and staff were equally first class and excellent.

    I absolutely would return!

I absolutely would return! After the fact I was told this was a Russian resort but we interacted with a variety of guests during our visit. Our neighbors were guests 20 years ago and returned with two children. They were having an absolute ball. I loved the swim up bar at the pool - and the fact it was at the opposite end (along with a divider) from the children's area. Super attentive and friendly staff, great meals, I didn't tire of the options at the buffet. The a la carte restaurant was lovely too. We did the all inclusive and it was definitely worth it. Great chill vibe and overall a fun place to relax and play.

Expected Dharavandoo just to be a transit island with it's airport traveling to a resort nearby. We had chosen to spend a few days in the Biosphere guesthouse. The charming guesthouse itself, the wonderfull staff and the range of activities made us extend our stay with a few days. It's the perfect startingpoint for alot of affordeable (water) activities and also the island has alot to offer (inc nice beaches, snorkling spot's, sports- and playgrounds, restaurant (Krill is recomended!),... We spent new year's eve where the islands council arranges a memorable big party for tourists and residents.

The beach is so clean without any plastics wastes and trash. The sand bank is so beautiful and waters are coming with so amazing colors. I believe everyone traveled to Fulhadhoo was amazed by its beauty and tranquility. I do wish Fulhadhoo keeps its identity as exquisite, exclusive and pure inhabited islands open for travelers without increasing any unnecessary commercials. Just one thing for this island, the East sand band is soooo beautiful with its own serenity but I don’t understand why almost every day someone is burning rubber trash nearby which makes the sunrise time and mid-noon amazing waters time so unpleasant.

Maalhos is the ultimate getaway for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Nestled in the Maldives, it offers breathtaking views that will make you want to linger forever. The island is a hidden gem, perfect for those seeking tranquility. Picture-perfect beaches stretch out before you, inviting you to unwind and soak in the natural beauty. The wild forest adds a sense of adventure, giving you the chance to explore and connect with nature in its purest form. The vibrant reef is a must-see, and it’s easily accessible right from the shore—perfect for snorkelers or anyone keen on diving into the rich marine life. What truly stands out about Maalhos, though, is the local community. The people are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to lend a helping hand. Their warmth and hospitality add a special touch that truly makes you feel at home. If you're after a peaceful escape, stunning scenery, and a welcoming community, Maalhos is the place to be. Highly recommend it for anyone seeking an idyllic, laid-back retreat!

Fehendoo is beautiful but it is very remote and not much to do on the island. It is great for relaxing and having downtime. Definitely do snorkeling and scuba if you can. The fishing wasn't what I expected. It was more like going out and watching a local fisherman fish. The island is very small. You can walk it but bikes were the best way to get around. I wouldn't take small children. It would be best for a secluded adult getaway.

Amazing stay for one day after diving livaboard trip. Walking around was really relaxing as this island is QUIET! Personal highlights were playing volleyball with the locals (free court with lights, started at 9 and we went on until midnight!). Also Coral Boutique is a must visit - blue whale bones, and owner is super interesting to talk to! Don't leave the island without visiting the store! DFC for food is a must.

This is a small local island. It’s quiet and simple. The people are friendly. The beach and the sea is beautiful. There are a few restaurants on the island. We have limited choice on food. We recommend the restaurant called Moonshell as it provides more international food and the price is reasonable. There is another cafe near the pier where we can eat local Maldivian food. The cafe is popular among locals. The island is very close to the Manta point called Hanifaru Bay. We recommend this manta excursion as this is a wonderful once in a lifetime experience. It is convenient to bring cash and exchange some Maldivian money to spend and pay for the meals.
