The staff and the island itself were amazing. The people are warm and so hospitable. The bikini beach is nearby, and the view over the marina is great. The local food is delicious, albeit it lacks a bit of variety. Alimas is a great place to spend one week of your life if you want to relax or celebrate an important personal occasion.

We had a wonderful and unforgettable 4 days on this paradise island, just 1.2 hours by speedboat from Male (60 euros per person one way). We were surrounded by care and attention from the magnificent and friendly staff and hotel owner. The food in the restaurant was very delicious, with breakfast available as a buffet or à la carte. There is a wide selection of snorkeling trips, including swimming with harmless nurse sharks or searching for turtles, fishing, and relaxing on deserted sandy beaches. You can rent paddle boards, kayaks, fins, and masks. We will long remember the beautiful sunsets and tasty dinners on the beach under the stars. We will definitely return again."

Amazing place, next level of hospitality, I would definitely recommend this place if you are planning to visit Fulidhoo island (which is the most beautiful island among all of them def.!) Huge thanks to the team who went above and beyond to provide the best stay, but special highlight was the owner and her family, who made sure to go with us on the excursions (btw - book all the excursions with them!) and took photos and videos with the drone and go pro underwater camera, caught every moment of me and my friend, made sure to bring snack with them so we don’t get hungry, etc! We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel (which I would recommend as there are no many options where to eat on the island and the best place is the hotel itself) and Prem from the kitchen made sure there are varieties every day and meals do not repeat. Super clean rooms with all necessary amenities. Also, hotel is located 3 minutes walking to the bikini beach where they have their own sunbeds for guests !

Brand new design hotel right on the beach. Amazing ocean view. Everything clean, very comfortable bed. Reviews sometimes mentioned smell in the bathroom but we have not experienced any. All perfect. Very close to most beautiful bikini beach we have seen so far on local islands.

I want to start straight from coming to Maldives. Airport: They greet you with a huge smile at the airport, help to gather your luggages for the seaplane. As soon as we arrived at the hotel another lovely greeting with necklaces, coconut drinks and a unbelievable view. Hotel: There is a lovely pool and lovely beach that you can swim, take pictures, enjoy the moment, and quiet relaxing holiday. Unfortunately it was rainy a bit when we were there but they have a pool table, gym and other thibgs to do indoors aswell. The staff were UNBELIEVABLE! Everyone was full of positivity, doing the best they could to help you feel welcome and we want to specially thanks Daniel as he was so helpful with everything and even made us a suprise on our last day for our meal. Another special thanks for Mr Ömer as throughout our stay he was very kind as well as caring, did so much for us and asked about our thoughts aswell. Rooms: As a person that pays so much attention to cleanliness I would give this hotel 10/10!!! Rooms were cleaned twice a day, the rooms are spacious, they have a glass that you can see the marine life, everything is provided in the rooms and another staff member called Mo, also made a little suprise of bubble bath while we were there for our honeymoon. The pool in our room wqs very clean, very nice view, had direct entrance to the ocean aswell. Having coffee to that view is unbelievable. Food: the open buffet had various options and everything was delicious however I would also advice to EVERYONE to definitely try the fahrenheit restaurant as the food and environment there was a completely different story. Hot stone grill, having food in sandy environment, delicious desserts and big congrats to the chef with everything! Activities: There were a lot activities to do but our favourite and most unique one was sunset fishing, watching the lovely sunset and catching maldivian style fishing also then EATING the fish you catch was so good!

I enjoyed pretty much everything.

I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.

If you are on a budget, using the local ferry's are a big save in regards to travel and make Island hopping do able. They are 3 time the length of time, at 1 tenth of the price of a speedboat. We still enjoyed sitting out front and watching the dolphins swim with the boat. The trip back was empty and we chatted to the crew. (30 min speedboat vs 1h30 Ferry) The Ferry goes ever 2 days so we did the Maafushi to Fulidhoo, slept 2 nights then got onto it again from Thinadhoo. Two beautiful Islands.

Amazing resort I would highly recommend.

Amazing resort I would highly recommend. This was our second stay at Kandima and our experience exceeded the first. Good selection of meals provided throughout the day and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our shuttle bus driver Gasimm was very patient and informative on the ecosystem. Excellent facilities for children.

The sunset villa was the correct choice for me - got to see one fabulous sunset in the 4 days (in late October) I was there. There is no shading umbrella on the deck so it gets very hot in the afternoon. The room was amply spacious for a couple - watch the two steps down to the bed area, esp if you need to get up in the middle of the night. Lighting was good, AC was not as effective as I'd like (very high ceilings). Toilet is a separate room with the window permanently open (understandable), but it's extremely hot and stuffy in there. They need to place a small fan to circulate the air. Two life jackets in the room for average sized bodies (was a big large for my AU12 size female body). 4 bottles of drinking water per day supplied. The white beach areas were amazingly clean and swept daily. Food isn't that important to me and I'm allergic to alcohol, so all I can say is that the breakfast and themed dinner buffets included in my half board was plentiful and tasty. I think having the half board was the correct choice as a lunch and dinner package in the cafe was USD$195. I'd read that extra activities is expensive - I can definitely confirm that! If you arrive during the day, I'd highly recommend the seaplane transfer - amazing views of the resort (and others) and at 30mins, it is much faster and less bumpy than the 90min boat transfer. The Snorkelling was good but not amazing (I didn't fo out on a separate activity- just from my villa). Fish plentiful and some colorful, a bonus baby shark swam past me. Coral dull in colour.

You can have a good snorkeling and beach experience here.

You can have a good snorkeling and beach experience here. The islanders far outnumber the tourists. The island is generally quiet and clean but it does have a lot of modern infrastructure in a small area. We didn’t dive but there is a local dive shop. We also saw several live aboards anchored nearby so the diving must be good.

Beautiful resort connected to two islands with a 1 km wooden bridge on top of the sea. The water pool Villa was amazing and quiet. The sky at night had all the starts in view. The personnel of the hotel friendly and attentive, would say “hello” and “good morning” to everyone. There are golf buggies to take you from all the places of the islands you are (waiting time was 5 to 15 min max). They offered us bicycles to move around and the vegetation in the islands was lash and fantastic. The only thing I would suggest is more options of food items at the buffet, lunch/dinner. If I compare the buffet lunch/dinners at the Residence Zanzibar… it has a big difference.

Beautiful nature, large coral reef, very easy to meet dolphins and other large fish. The water around the overwater villas is very shallow during the day. This is ideal if you're not a strong swimmer or are vacationing with children. If you're a strong swimmer, you'll enjoy evening swimming, which is not always safe because of darkness, or you can snorkeling or diving with the aquatic center staff at the day time.

The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing,...

The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing, particularly the exit next to the water villas (nr. 4) and the ones facing north-west (nr. 5 & 6). Just snorkeling we had the chance to see an incredible variety of fishes and corals, we also swam alongside a turtle and sharks a couple of times! Staff is great, always gentle, kind and willing to help and assist. The food is great both in quality and in variety of offer, we really enjoyed our full board selection. We particularly appreciated the lack of "holiday village entertainment" and the authentic look & feel of the island (preserved but not over constructed). The water villas should be refreshed - they are a gem but furniture is not well preserved and now quite old. Currently the villas have 3 kinds of roof, with different colors and some feature colored fabrics covering some pieces: it's a real pity as they do not look premium and ruin the overall scenery. I hope they are just temporary. Additionally, extra costs are quite a burden, as rates are high and you even need to pay for plain water even if on a full board service.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left they made us feel so welcome and so special. Everyone in the team just wanted to ensure that we had the best time. From the captain/boss Ahmed, to John the host, to Arbi and the waiters, the chef and through to all the guys on the boat. We got to know them all and felt like part of a family. I couldn’t recommend it enough and if we could afford to, we’d go back next week! If you want the bustle of a big resort, then maybe this is not for you, but if you want to be somewhere that celebrates the beauty of nature and all that the Maldives has to offer, with people who love to show that to you, then this is the place for you. We felt like we knew the whole team by the end, they were all so genuine and thoughtful and caring. We’ve seldom had such personal attentive service and we’ve stayed in many places around the world, and they made our 25th anniversary such a special evening. If you want beauty, nature, simplicity, comfort, good food, great service and fantastic adventures with amazing attention to detail then just book Thari Fushi. We miss you all!

Perfect place for total relaxation. Maybe a few more activities for the ‘oldies’ would be good. We loved the bingo and Kahootz but the party music wasn’t our style. Enjoyed the saxophone player and the Irish singer. During the day maybe trivia or games?
