- From $669.18 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,186 reviewsMy wife and I recently had the privilege of staying at Kandima aqua villa hotel, and it was an experience that completely exceeded our expectations in every possible way. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in an environment of unparalleled luxury and tranquility. The villa was a stunning blend of modern elegance and natural charm. Perched above the crystal-clear waters, it offered us mesmerizing views that were a joy to wake up to each day. The private deck with its direct access to the water was a personal highlight, offering a secluded and serene spot for us to relax and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. The service was beyond compare. Every staff member struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, ensuring we felt pampered and well cared for throughout our stay. Their attention to every detail, from the exquisitely arranged room to the tailored recommendations for activities and dining, was impeccable. Dining at the hotel was a culinary journey like no other. Each meal was a celebration of fresh, local flavors, served with impeccable presentation. The variety and excellence of the food catered to all our tastes and preferences, making each dining experience a delight. The array of amenities and activities on offer was impressive. Whether we were snorkeling among the vibrant coral reefs or indulging in spa treatments, there was never a moment that wasn't filled with wonder. The hotel's dedication to providing a unique and unforgettable experience shone through in every aspect of our stay. In conclusion, this aqua villa hotel didn't just uphold the standards of a 5-star establishment; it completely redefined them for us. It was more than a mere stay; it was an unforgettable journey that my wife and I will treasure forever. We left with cherished memories and a yearning to return. For anyone in search of the ultimate in luxury, relaxation, and natural beauty, this hotel is undoubtedly the perfect choice.Guest review byMuddBelgium
- From $1,055.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 54 reviewsvisiting the Maldives is a dream for anyone and I knew that the ayada maldives resort would go beyond that dream. Since I made the reservation a year ago and started contacting the hotel, I noticed the difference. Highly qualified staff to provide our adventure with a unique experience. From our departure point to the island it took exactly 36 hours … in Male we had a completely pleasant reception by the Ayada team who took us to the airport lounge, carried our bags and boarded us to the island. Upon disembarking, another big surprise was waiting for us to take us by boat to our final destination, arriving there, a warm welcome and Iqu, our assistant for a week, was waiting for us. Nothing could have been more perfect. Our villa inside the ocean and overlooking the sunset was perfect, the crystal clear water invited us every day for a swim. The wonderful restaurants, the employees always with a smile and ready for a good morning, good afternoon, good night. It was worth every hour until we got here … worth every penny invested. We chose the hotel because we wanted the island further away from Male … our choice was the best possible !! Ayada surprised us … she welcomed us and conquered us … she deserves all the accolades of the best hotel in the Maldives in all aspects !!! thank you for the wonderful week you have given us. Thank you Lizah for your attention, thank you Iqu … it was a pleasure meeting you. Thank you Maldives !!!Guest review byGilberUnited States

They have almost 7 restaurants with variety of cuisines. Food is a bit pricey but very tasty and service is really good. More than anything the staff at this place provides the excellent customer service. I would say this resort has the best customer service compared all other places i have stayed. Glad we choose this resort. An ideal place to enjoy and relax as couple. They have so many games which are just free, including free kayaking. They also have free photoshoot. Do not miss the snorkeling. Once again kudos to the staff there. Smiling faces with best customer service mindset.Guest review byAntoSri Lanka

I only stayed overnight in Male and, in general, it was enough. Simply passing though to get my flight home. As expected the city is noisy, busy and hectic. Wow the contrast from the laid-back, easygoing atol where I was based for the holiday. However, I still quite enjoyed it. The guy from the diving company arranged a tour guide for me whose policy was that I pay him what I thought his time was worth. I got to experience the traffic from a scooter (quite scary to begin with) was taken to the market and given lots of free samples of local foods to try and had visits to all the important sites in three brilliant hours. He also introduced me to a wonderful restaurant - The Seagull Cafe- where I visited another twice before leaving the food and the coffee were so good.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 8.0

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We liked almost everything.
We liked almost everything. Our vacation was relaxing and beautiful. The beach was perfect, with soft almost white sand and warm, clear blue water. The bungalow was was really cozy with sun set view. Snorkeling we saw sharks, turtles, so many amazing small fishes. And they were almost near our place. We had wonderful neighbors and made new friendships.Guest review byDaniela AntonovaSpain - 10.0

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.Guest review byMaureenCanada - 10.0
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach,...
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach, without sunbeds and umbrellas, the palm trees lining the island will provide you with sufficient shade. At the end of the island there is a sandbank, which can be reached by walking, cycling or scooter through the tropical forest. There are several shops with groceries, souvenirs and restaurants on the island. There is a lot of accommodation in different places on the island with quality services. The local people are smiling and friendly. There is a hospital, a police station, the Maldivian office and mosques on the island. Waste from the island is taken to the forest, where it is burned in the afternoon, we only felt the smoke from the waste when there was a strong wind. You can get to the island from the airport by speedboat, the journey takes about two hours, if you suffer from nausea, I recommend taking anti-nausea medicine, you will definitely need it when the waves are bigger. There is a coral reef around the island, you can see many colorful fish, we were lucky to see a turtle and a small shark. There are resorts on the surrounding atolls, to which seaplanes fly daily. What we didn't like on the island is the massive construction of new accommodation facilities, I'm afraid that in a short time, there will be more tourists on the island than locals and the island will lose its authenticity and beauty.Guest review byHanaCzech Republic
