- From $182.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,590 reviewsOur one-night stay at Cameron Highlands Resort was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped in, we were transported to a different era — the entire property exudes an old-English charm, like something out of the early 90s. Warm, cozy, and full of character, the ambience was absolutely pitch-perfect for a mountain retreat. The staff were incredibly courteous and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. A simple but thoughtful gesture really stood out — we had brought strawberries from a nearby farm, and they kindly washed and beautifully presented them for us without us even asking. That’s the kind of personalized service that makes a stay truly memorable. The common areas of the resort are equally impressive — from a charming grand hall with a fireplace to large koi ponds filled with majestic fish. It all adds to the resort’s serene and sophisticated atmosphere. Breakfast was served à la carte and every bite was divine. You could tell great care went into the flavors and presentation — it felt more like a fine-dining experience than a typical hotel breakfast. If there’s one thing I regret, it’s that we couldn’t stay longer. I genuinely wish I had at least one more night to soak it all in, but we had a flight to catch. Still, this brief escape will stay with us for a long time. Highly, highly recommended — whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat into the hills, Cameron Highlands Resort delivers an experience that is both nostalgic and luxurious.Guest review bySamiUnited Arab Emirates

Cameron Highlands was really nice — the weather was perfect, and it felt peaceful being away from the city noise. But weekends can be a nightmare: the market areas were packed, parking was a struggle, and traffic heading towards Brinchang was just terrible. Definitely a great escape, but try to go on a weekday if you want some peace.Guest review byKogiMalaysia - 8.0
Don't bother come during weekend/school holidays.
Don't bother come during weekend/school holidays. You will be the victim of standstill traffic. If weekend/school holidays is your only option, come way early in the morning, like, latest 7-7.30 am arrival at Cameron areas.Guest review bySufienaMalaysia - 2.0
Everything is over priced. Souveniers, food, water etc.
Everything is over priced. Souveniers, food, water etc. We are locals. The food in Cameron Highlands is more expensive than in the centre of KL. The entrance to the farms and some other venues are just too pricey. A family of 4 will end up paying RM100 to one spot. What about the other destinations? How can we promote local tourism when everything is priced for international tourists? The traffic jam to the farms up on the brinchang slope was the worst. Stuck for one hour and the cars on the other side even worse. Looked like 2 hours to me. No traffic control. I will not go to Cameron Highlands until that unnecessary traffic jam is not sorted.Guest review byG. RameshMalaysia - 10.0

The different areas of Ringlet are very interesting to visit however the traffic is a problem in the little towns. Not easy to cross the roads on a busy day. Plenty of eateries to choose from and different types of food. A fair number of atttactions including tea plantations and museums. The roads are extremely winding.Guest review bySteve UKUnited Kingdom - 8.0

If possible try not to come during the local school holidays or Festive holidays or during weekends. The traffics jams were bad. We got stuck in the jam for 2 hours trying to go to one of the popular places. It was on Sunday. Before going to any of those places make sure you read their reviews and opening hours. For strawberry picking some places charge entry fees and some did not but charge only the amount of strawberry picked which is way more expensive that those sold at the market or stalls along the road. Try not to miss the night market if possible (which only happen on weekends 😢).Guest review byMohamad YazidSingapore - 6.0

It is a good place for relaxation (if you find somewhere quiet to stay), and a wide variety of places for eating. But it has become overdeveloped, with too many large hotels and other buildings sprawled along the valley. The main road is noisy with much traffic. Within Tanah Rata there is little concept that you are in mountainous countryside. My attempt at walking had to be abandoned when I encountered collapsed river crossings.Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Brinchang is a pleasant town with locals and tourists in the midst. It has schools, a Chinese temple, a mosque, and a Hindu temple, offering a mix of culture and, most importantly, a variety of cuisines from the three primary cultures in Malaysia: Malays, Chinese, and Indians. It has easy access to the Boh Plantation in Sungai Palas, Kea Farm and is very near Tanah Rata. Each of these towns offers a unique blend of attractions to explore, and you will notice different vibes as the tourist demographics shift. There is also plenty of greenery in Brinchang, with forests, hills, and plantations. Hiking is a great way to experience Brinchang.Guest review bySYMalaysia - 10.0

Definitely our favourite holiday location in the whole of Malaysia! The cool weather is just what we need when back home is scorching hot. Tourist attractions are aplenty and fresh produce is always fresh and cheap. Food choices are albeit slightly limited, but we still enjoyed Highlands Steamboat and Ferm Nyonya for dinner.Guest review byNur SyahirahMalaysia - 8.0
Took a bus from KL and reached here at approx 1pm.
Took a bus from KL and reached here at approx 1pm. The final 1 hour journey was windy road (almost vomited). Cool town where majority of restaurants are Indian. There is no ground tour package that starts in the afternoon. All the tours start at 8am. If you want to have your breakfast at 7am, there is only Starbucks or convenient stores like FamilyMart.Guest review byAwanMalaysia - 4.0
Its a terrible jam place.
Its a terrible jam place. Most of the time spend was on the road stuck in the jam. Avoid weekends and public holidays. From Tanah Rata to Brinchang is around 3.5Km and we stuck for 4 hours. Beautiful place but proper planning in roadworks needed by the Government. You wont enjoy your holidays on weekends or public holidays.Guest review byHARISHANKARMalaysia
