- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 121 reviewsCasa Cabana Beach Lodge was perfect for us. Rob was very communicative, especially with the protests going on at the time of our visit, which was reassuring. Bobo met us at the airport and took good care of us during our visit. He arranged for us to do a day tour to Bazaruto, etc with Sunset Dhow Safari. We were in standard room #3 and were very happy to be in the room instead of one of the cottages. It also had a queen bed. It was more private and we had the whole garden area in front of our room. The room was spotless, was very large and tastefully decorated with local handicrafts. The bed was super comfortable with the softest sheets ever! The patio was lovely for having morning coffee and relaxing in the afternoon. All the staff were very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was very good with homemade bread and eggs to order. We also ended up eating 2 dinners there as well. The grilled fish was delicious. We also enjoyed walking into the village which was a bit long. You can also take a tuk-tuk (chopela). If walking, walk the road the entire way or the beach, with slight detour, the whole way. Do not try to cut over half-way because the “roads” on Google Maps are tiny winding foot trails. We preferred walking along the beach and swimming at the beach in front of Telvina Beach Lodge Restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Cabana and would return if in the area. Thank you!Guest review byKarynUnited States

Typical of Mozambique.
Typical of Mozambique. It's a poor area so if you are prepared for rural surrounds you will not be disappointed. Locals are friendly and the lodge took us shopping for provisions as and when we needed it. Great place to relax. Super diving, snokelling, fishing and swimming. Very close to the islands.Guest review byEmmaZimbabwe - 10.0
Definitely recommend. It's a beautiful place.
Definitely recommend. It's a beautiful place. Vilanculos is very laid back, natural and authentic. The beaches are amazing, delicious local food and some great outdoor activities to do. Visiting the islands like Bazaruto is highly recommended. These areas are truly pristine and the snorkeling along two mile reef is awesome. I would say more or less 6 days is enough time in the area. We went in September (not in season) and sometimes it would just be us on the beach with one or two other people.Guest review byNatashaSouth Africa - 10.0

Access to a number of beach resorts and restaurants, with day trips to the islands and coral reef make this a must- see. The town itself has a large upmarket supermarket with exceptional selection, loads of smaller shops selling a wide range of goods, locally crafted items, banks, atm etcGuest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom
