One of our favorite lodges in Namibia! It was really comfortable and modern lodge but at the same time felt like being on a real farm (which it is :)). Exceptionally friendly and warm staff, we had a lovely dinner and they offered a plate of snack to enjoy while watching the sunset. Good hiking route to the waterhole. Many different animals live nearby and the two dogs were lovely. It was easy to find and drive to the farm through well-marked route to two other farms. Perfect location between Etosha and Windhoek.

I really like the building and the decorations inside. The owner, Johan, and wife is an affable kinds of people who's helpful and love to share the history of their place. I got to know that every piece of furniture is hand-made by them from recycled pieces of wood, iron, and other materials. There's a story behind each of them.

I really enjoyed staying at Flamingos. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had a flat tire and they worked hard to get it fixed. Just great service. the breakfast was a bit too American style in my opinion, but still OK. I did not understand why there was Salmon from Norway on the dinner menu.... The beds were super comfortable and just right after a few days in the desert

Stayed in one of the air conditioned rooms in July, and it was absolutely fantastic for the price. Very spacious and modern room with a satellite tv with a large number of channels, small refrigerator, sizeable bathroom and shower, coffee and tea. A very good buffet breakfast (with made-to-order eggs) is offered between 7am-10am. However, what stood out most about the very centrally located Prost Hotel was its friendly and welcoming staff. Well before checking in, I had a number of random questions given that it was my first time to Namibia, and Debbie responded both very quickly and very warmly. It’s really hard to convey warmth through an email, but it certainly came through. I had asked similar questions to another, unnamed, local, historic hotel when debating where to stay, and their responses were very cool and perfunctory — couldn’t have been more opposite than Debbie’s. In any case, each and every one of the staff above and beyond to make our stay superb. Needed a very early ride to a tour pick up spot about a mile away after checkout - no problem, Debbie organized a staff person to take us. Although we had 10 (!) foriegn country electric adapter plugs, none worked for Namibia - no problem, the front desk let us borrow two for our stay and let us know where to buy one for the rest of our trip. Couldn’t figure out how to work the tv remote (extremely embarrassed about this as a man!) - no problem, front desk staff immediately came up and sorted us out. Checked out before breakfast, but plans slightly changed afterwards - no problem, came back and had our final breakfast at the hotel. So huge shout out to debbie and all of the wonderful staff at prost hotel!! If we ever come back to Swakopmund, this will be the one and only hotel we stay at.

The hotel was amazing - the Seaview room, the location right infront of the beach, the restaurant, the staffs. There are all amazing. Highly recommend if you are in swakopmund. Good to book upfront - room and restaurant as they are always fully booked on high season. I have a great stay here.

    This was a fantastic place, we wish we had stayed another night! The view is amazing and we watched the sunrise from our terrace from our room in the morning and the sunset from the pool area while swimming and having a drink. The view in general is like being in space, so different and cool and soft shaped nature that makes you very calm. Food was great and rooms so special and as they are all separate small houses you don't hear any noice. Very relaxing place both for body and mind.

    We loved our cabin at Stiltz - it was roomy, built with natural materials, very nicely decorated and super comfy. The walkways of the lodge gave great views over the ocean and we saw various birds and even camels. The staff was super friendly and kind, the shower was great and the beds were really comfortable. Definitely recommend!

    Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance.

    Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. I visited Swakopmund 20 years ago and the only issue I found worrysome this time around was the many hustlers trying to force their offerings for sale. The jetty also needs some urgent maintenance.

    I liked the weather, activities particularly the combo from Sandwich Dune company which included a cruise, we were able to see seald which kept coming on our boat, pelicans, dolphins and we also got an opprotunity to see a whale. We then went on the sand dune drive which was a lot of fun got to see where the Atlantic Ocean and the Namib desert meet. we also saw the desert animalsthe oryx and springbok. It was a great adventure which we all enjoyed. We got to v isit the Mondesa Village Hafeni restraunt for some local food which we enjoyed

    Omaruru was a lovely surprise.

    Omaruru was a lovely surprise. It was a short trip to break our journey on the way to Swakopmund. Such a lovely, beautiful town with the loveliest and friendly people. Great restaurants with german cuisine, and very very safe. We walked around for hours at night and felt so safe.

You will go in for 5 items and comes out with a trolly full of goodies. The weather, the people, the houses with their own unique character makes Henties Bay a must visit place.

    Its a quiet area, perfect if you want a peaceful get away as well as for fishing and surfing. Best place to eat @ Salt restaurant, maybe because it was near to our location. Its easy to get around once you familiarize yourself with the street names. You need to ensure you have your own means of transport or reliable shuttle services when visiting this area.

    Wilhelmstal is just a tiny place along the B2. To reach Khan River Lodge you follow the signs that lead you 20 km from the tarred road B2 to the Lodge on sandy farm roads. The trip is no problem also for normal sedan cars. Food is offered at the lodge while self- catering is also a possibility. Their breakfast is very rich and nice. The lodge also offers game drives to their customers.

    the museum which was recommended by the hotel was really worth a visit we spent a whole morning there and learnt so much about Namibia and its people as well as Swakopmund. the walk along the pier though very windy was worth the experience.

It's a great choice for visitors looking to relax in a peaceful neighbourhood. Its only 30 minutes away from the old town of Swakopmund where visitors can access relaxing beach spots, tourism sites, and restaurants.

    The lovely grounds. The room was a little disappointing .. Looking into road entrance and neighbours open messy garden. Room quite small. Evening meal and breakfast were sub standard. They were very helpful and changed our booking dates, due to sickness that delayed us by a week.
