HungaryThis was the best campsite we have ever visited in our life :) The campsites are large - hectares of private land in a very peaceful and safe natural environment. The private bathroom was clean, water was hot. We could cook our meals on the open fire. At the reception we could relax, have a nice beer. The reception itself is also wonderful with a lot of artwork. It is evident from all the beautiful details that this place is a real passion and mission of the owners. The lady was very kind and provided useful information on the places to visit. They have some own hiking trails - all wonderful :) This place was such a wonderful and peaceful experience, fully recommended!

ItalyLittle Sossus Campsite is highly organized and offers camp spots that are covered and proper also for a tent on a car (that was really convenient with windy weather!) and with private bathroom and "kitchen". The stay was really nice and tranquil and the landlady gave us really precious information on how to organize our visit to Sossusvlei national park! Also the little shop has a lot of nice food and drinks. I highly recommend this place!

IraqReally beautiful place, I love Solitaire. The farm is near to the town with a feeling of being miles away from civilization.
Tomas welcomes us with a big smile,refreshing cold towers and cold juices, he went beyond to make us feel like home!
Breakfast was above expectations and a really good coffee.
The bedroom is big and the shower is just what you need after 3 hours driving in the desert.

I like NWR staff here more than Etosha.
I like NWR staff here more than Etosha. They are naturally friendly and explain detail of the park rules, how to do everthing right.
Dead valley is gorgeous. They are some hidden place near dead valley to see gemsbox on red desert sand. If your rent 4x4 and known how to drive on soft sand, go past the dead valley parking spot, it will have trees for lunch and walk about 1km to see gemsbox walking, eating, sleeping

The room was extremely comfortable and we would have loved to spend more time here. We booked the sunrise drive which was one of the highlights of our trip to Namibia. The sunrise went on forever and our guide was very informative. Surprisingly we were the only ones who chose the option that morning.
The only downside was the restaurant. While the food was OK we had to sit inside next to a large mobile air conditioner. One staff member would move it so it didn’t blow directly on us and another would move it back. It was so strong it kept blowing our plastic water bottle over. A bit more sensitivity would have been welcome.

What a beautiful place my goodness.
What a beautiful place my goodness. So much to do in the area - we would have definitely stayed longer to try out the different activities. Climbing the dunes at Sossusvlei was honestly the best day. It was beautiful and I can’t wait to be back!

We stayed in this location mainly to visit Sossusvlei which is further south. Solitaire itself is a charming but tiny settlement - only a few buildings and a petrol station, however it has an amazing cafe serving "the world's best apple pie" and it was! Solitaire is about a 20 minute drive from Soft Adventure Camp at the Namib Naukluft Lodge.

It was busy but still private enough not to spoil the overnight stay. The staff were very helpful in the shop. It was useful to have the fuel station as well. The supplies in the shop were adequate for the overnight stay and the location was convenient for Sossusvlei. The drive into Sossusvlei was fine but very crowded when we got to Deadvlei. Well worth a visit though.

SOlitair mountain lodge is a beautiful lodge with an incredible setting. they have a beautiful pool and watering hole close by which brings animals in such as zebra and Gemsbok/Oryx. The rooms were comfortable and large and the space is neat and well maintained. friendly staff made it extra easy to check in. We definitelywould stay and extra night at this lodge.
