We arrived when the restaurant had just closed. But since we were so hungry and simply wanted spaghetti with tomato sauce the cook decided to still fix something up for us. We enjoyed dinner with a great view! The staff is friendly, helpful, and very attentive. We also liked that they offer a charging station for electric cars. (Though it would be even better if there were more in case one is taken) We are very glad we stayed here instead of the other big hotel in Eidfjord which had a huge cruiseship in front of it the next morning.

The location is perfect. Spa is an extra benefit. We had dinner at the restaurant. Viktoriia provided an excellent service. Big thanks to the chef for a fantastic presentation and delicious food.

Fantastic location with views of the mountains, fjords and on the river. The chalet had everything you could have asked for and was priced very fairly. Ample parking outside of the property for those travelling with a car. A great find with very easy check in out of hours! I would definitely recommend - perfect for a larger group/family stay!

The location was great! The staff were very nice and very accommodating of our requests. They made us feel very comfortable and we felt like home there!

Loved the charm and character of the building and its location. Superb view of the fjord and the beautiful town. Staff very friendly and co-operative, and while I appreciate that we chose to be in the older part of the building, there could have been an offer to carry bags for older visitors.

The hotel has several good points, including hotel is quiet and clean, location is convenient, shower water is strong enough, breakfast and dinner are fine, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Especially the view from the hotel to see the Hardangerfjord is so near and beautiful.

The atmosphere in the hotel is very special because it is old (opened in 1891) but has undergone major loving refurbishment in the 50s. The place breathes history and staying there was an awesome experience. It is anything but a run-off-the-mill stylish ski resort hotel! It has lots of old world charm and quirkyness. We absolutely adored the place: Think Thomas Mann's 'The Magic Mountain' and you are getting close.

Breakfast tasting. Staff kind and helpful. Room comfortable. WI Fi good. They did not have Tv in room due to delivery issues, but it did not matter. Location great.
