- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 11 reviewsIt is beautiful, spacious, well-equipped specifically the kitchen (we did not need to buy anything except our own eatables) and well-located (in terms of several summer activities at 10 mins drive). Beautiful view and nature around. Very peaceful and quiet. It has a nice sitting and play area outside where our kids enjoyed the most. Two living areas were awesome. Will definitely book it again and highly recommended. - A tip: Coop prix super market at 8 mins drive but Kiwi super market at 15 mins drive was way cheaper.Guest review byUroojNorway

The natural beauty of this place is truly beyond explanation...
The natural beauty of this place is truly beyond explanation—breathtaking landscapes and serene views that leave you in awe. However, getting there was quite the challenge. First, we had to take a bus, then a boat, and finally walk the trail. The hike was demanding, especially because much of it was uphill, requiring a lot of effort. Although parts of the trail were easier to manage, the steep uphill sections were tough, and the downhill portions required careful footing. One area that could be improved is the coordination between the boats and buses. There weren’t enough boats, which made the wait long, and the bus schedules didn't seem to align well with the rest of the journey, causing unnecessary delays. Also, the trail itself could use better maintenance. Certain sections were difficult and confusing to navigate, with little signage to guide the way. Enhancing the trail’s upkeep and providing clearer directions would greatly improve the experience, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination’s natural beauty.Guest review byNarendra KumarNorway - 10.0
I saw that someone wrote about road noise and soundproofing.
I saw that someone wrote about road noise and soundproofing. We slept with our windows open. There's no road noise at night, and the other guests were quiet at night. Since that is when one wants quiet to sleep, I would not make that a complaint. The Hotel is old and historic and an incredible find. I personally did not hear other guests at any time. I could hear traffic (what little there was as this is Vang, not Oslo) occasionally during the day but I'm not in my room to sleep while the sun is shining and there are mountains to hike, hills to climb, lakes to refresh in before the sauna experience (which, by the way, includes a large picture window so that we relax while gazing at this spectacular view), wine to sip in the sun room, and a stroll into town.Guest review byLoisUnited States - 8.0

All the way from the airport to Beitostol was just beautiful. The receptionist was waiting for us and she was fast with the check in. The location is great for solo travellers as well as friends or family. There are attractions for kids as well. The supermarket was just across the road and the ski area was about 10 min walk or 3 min by car. Lots of places to eat around. Although , lots of cabins and trailers , the location was really quiet.Guest review bySimonaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beitostolen is a gem for intermediate skiers and a perfect destination for families, there is plenty to do beside ski. A good choice of grocery stores if you self cater, a few restaurants and sport shops if you need to buy extra equipment. The ski school office and ski instructors are really friendly and helpful. It is a small but perfectly formed ski resort!Guest review byMichelle JacksonUnited Kingdom
