Among the many wonderful accomodations on Waiheke Island, we chose Wild Thyme because they gave detailed information about the location and facilities, which made it easy for us to imagine what our stay would be like. AND Wild Thyme was PERFECT in every way! The rooms were well-equipped and comfortable, and were spotlessly clean. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, while the place is located in a convenient area, shops and the beach of Onorea within walking distance. Most of all, Jules and Bruce were great hosts, being attentive and kind. It is all thanks to their welcome, my parents and I truly enjoyed an unforgettable vacation. Another BIG attraction is Jule's Wine Tour! The information is also written on the notebook provided in your room. I highly recommend it to anyone considering staying here. She asked us about our wine preferences in advance and came up with the Perfect plan. We visited Allpress Olive Groves, Tantalus, Man O'War+lunch, Waiheke Gin Distillery and Passage Rock. It may have been partly because it was winter and the wineries were quiet, but Jules arranged with the winery staff to grant our selfish request to try wines(bubbles!) that were not on the regular tasting menu! She even arranged for us to taste limited edition gin at the distillery. She took us to hard-to-reach places in the east and south of the island, such as ManO'War and Passage Rock, where we enjoyed not only the drinks but also the charms of the island as a whole. It's only been a week since I returned home, but I already feel a strong desire to go back.

This place is perfect. The chalet was bigger than expected. Super clean. Wonderful bed and bathroom. The view was magical. And at night the stars gazing wonderful. This place is perfect for a romantic, stress free break. And then there's the Canbana bath ... What a treat. The hosts, Steve and Hiedi went above and beyond to make this special.

My kids enjoyed our lil getaway, the rooms were clean n tidy n very comfortable. Our privacy was respected. However my kids were sad that we didn't allow them to use the pool but it was windy n cold and we promised them that we will return during summer so they can enjoy it 👌👌👌👌👌👌

The studio was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed for our trip - even beach towels! The location is perfect, a short walk away from the beach and all of the main restaurants and shops. Couldn’t fault it at all, would definitely stay here again!

Dyane was a great host, very helpful and fun to talk to. Her afternoon tea and breakfast is the MUST! We enjoyed them so much! Our lodge was spacious and quiet. Easy walk to the beach and nice distance to the Main Street. The spa pool was a nice surprise!

Thank you to Sam and the entire team! From the check in to check out they made everything so easy. The room was absolutely adorable and the beds were very comfy. Ps. Do not skip on the complimentary breakfast, it’s delicious!

Truly an outstanding and very special place on this island. Peace, tranquility, design, amazing hospitality. Incredible breakfast! Lots of opportunities for hikes and runs, starting from the house.

The hotel offered breathtaking views, beautifully designed rooms, and an exceptional spa. We especially enjoyed the heated pool, which came with stunning views.

We really enjoyed the laid back style, clean rooms and bathroom, and common area. A quaint little place within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Excellent place and would definitely stay there again! Great location, super comfortable beds and had everything we needed.
