- From $201.27 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 251 reviewsWe had an absolutely amazing experience at Safari Desert Camp! As a family of four, we were all thoroughly impressed by every aspect of our stay. The huts were clean and exactly as shown in the pictures — no unpleasant surprises, just beautiful simplicity and comfort. The meals were another highlight of our stay — both breakfast and dinner were generous, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. We truly enjoyed every bite. The activities we tried were fantastic and unforgettable. From the adrenaline-filled quad bike ride to the peaceful camel ride and the thrilling dune bashing — everything was well-organized, safe, and full of adventure. A special thank you goes to Omar, our host, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available to help with anything we needed. His hospitality truly made our stay exceptional. If we could, we would give them 11 stars! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience.Guest review byNinaSlovenia
- From $208.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 264 reviewsPerfect desert camping with magnificent giant sand dune as back drop, inspiring sunrises and sunsets, star-filled sky, absolute silence, and random camels wandering around. We spent 2 nights here so we could experience the desert through the 24-hour cycle. The sleeps were warm and comfy, the meals tasty, and service impeccable from Assad, Joel and Joce. The owner Hamid, is a hardworking 15-year desert tourism veteran, and had lots of tales. Campfire and meal times make for great conversations with other guests. We paid OMR25 for the 25-min return 4x4 transfer from Bidiyah, and OMR10 per person for camel rides and dune bashing, both loads of fun. This is a licensed camp, which uses largely solar power and pumps up water from a 150-metre well.Guest review bySumitMalaysia

- From $104.05 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 596 reviewsNice camp right by a big dune, deep enough in the desert not to be polluted by light. It says rustic in the title, so don't expect luxury. We really enjoyed the bedouin stories and bits of info and the staff, starting with Shahin, was really friendly and welcoming.Guest review byAdrianUnited Kingdom

The desert is very beautiful here.
The desert is very beautiful here. Despite the multitude of camps, it is not a problem to have a perfectly quiet and serene evening or morning walk among the dunes. If possible, aim for a moonless night to enjoy the full splendor of the night sky.Guest review byMarkoBulgaria - 10.0
Loved the sunset drive on the dunes.
Loved the sunset drive on the dunes. Dune bashing was fun and you can tell your driver what version of this you want - soft to fast ! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Make sure you book your seat at outdoor dining to avoid not getting a seat if the camp is full. Also book activities as soon as so you get your preferred time. Food was great - huge selection in the buffet and the musical entertainment was a great surprise !Guest review byAliceUnited Kingdom - 10.0
We had an excellent stay at the camp.
We had an excellent stay at the camp. It's a small and private camp, with a great view on the sand dunes. The tents are fully equipped and comfortable. All the people working at the camp were super friendly and helpful. They made sure everything was according to our expectations and beyond. We did a dune bashing activity, where we also watched the sunrise and took beautiful pictures. I also definitely recommend the camel ride to watch the sunrise! The dinner and breakfast was super delicious, and we enjoyed watching the stars around the campfire at night.Guest review byAnonymous
