- [ ] The most peaceful and best day of our 1 month in South America so far
- [ ] It’s family run and everyone gets involved even the youngest girl who serves/helps her family serving food and chopping things.
- [ ] Breakfast was the best we’d had our whole trip in Peru. We had fruit salad, the freshest orange juice, coffee and the main we had x2 large breads with egg each. For lunch we had fresh trout and choufa (like egg fried rice but the Peruvian style) and sweet potato it was delicious. For dinner we repeated the choufa because it was so good! All reasonably priced. They also have drinks & water for sale.
- [ ] Staff were friendly
- [ ] Free transfer from the puño port to the island and back. However please note you need to pay cash for the taxi 20soles each way plus an environmental fee for upkeep of the island of 5 Sol each upon entry.
- [ ] Our lodge was basic but met all our needs. We had a bathroom in ours but we shared a shower (which had hot water) - really nice touch. We upgraded to a family room so got two beds which was nice as the room didn’t have a table. For $USD27.20 it surpassed our expectations. Be warned it’s freezing at night! But they layer up those beds we had at least 7 heavy blankets.
- [ ] A special thanks for the hosts because we arrived after 1400 and we were starving and he made us food outside of meal times.
- [ ] The views of the lake were spectacular! The air was so fresh and sunbathing before sunset was our fave activity.
- [ ] Highly highly recommend!

We had an amazing time staying with Felix on his island on the Uros. Our room was gorgeous, with an incredible view. We were well looked after, Felix arranged transport for us from Puno and gave us a tour of the community himself. It was a great way to see the islands as opposed to a day trip and excellent value for money. An amazing experience!

Mama Lea, Papa Mario and Ivan were amazing. Such an incredible experience with the most loving and passionate people we met in Peru. Food was freshly cooked by mama Lea and the tour with the explanation of the culture and traditions of the uros people from papa Mario was amazing. Mama lea made sure we were warn at night being the winter and provided hot water bottles. These were a luxury as we were not cold with all the comfy blankets in the incredible room with views to die for. Muchas gracias mama lea y papa Mario

Wow! This place is stunning. Right on the lake and slightly away from the busiest lake traffic, Celia's floating island is a little paradise. Celia and her family were lovely.
There is not much to do on the island itself, it really is remote, however Celia would transport us by boat to wherever we needed to go.
Outside the room is a private sun terrace, which is ideal for sunbathing and watching the sunset.
Breakfast and dinner are catered for, and they provided vegetarian options.

Exactly as described.
Very friendly welcome; they provided oxygen for my travel companion and prepared sandwiches for us as we had to leave early.
Located in the city center and rather a large hotel, it could get busy.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It was centrally located, the service was top notch, friendly staff and free coca tea upon arrival (for the altitude sickness) and very nice breakfast with a lot of choice. The room was clean and quiet (I asked for a quiet room in my booking) and the bed was so comfortable. We had a great night and would have stayed longer if we knew how good the experience would be. Totally recommend if you are staying in Puno !
