It is on the nicest beach on the island with great snorkeling and still rather remote so not a lot of people. I recommend the beach front cabin but all are nice and right on the beach basically. The rooms super comfy and a/c good. You can make your shower open air if you like and all rooms have a little deck. So much nature and good snorkeling right in your back yard.

The experience at the alaroots hostel is unique and unlike any other in the best way possible! The owners take you in like family, cooked us dinner where we all sat together & learned about Tahitian culture & one another’s lives, was absolutely beautiful! They go above & beyond to connect the community of people staying here, it’s a true home away from home. Always clean too which can sometimes be hard to come by at hostels! as well as friendly:)

The cottage was nicely situated and had what we needed for our stay. The hostess was quick at responding to messages and proactive. We loved our stay! The 300m to get to the property fron the road is full of land crabs which adds to the fun.
