Loved my stay at Z Garden Hotel! The room isn’t too big but very cozy, well-equipped, and I super love the garden vibe. The hotel is new, still finishing up some parts, but everything I needed was perfect. Friendly staff and great vibe. Solid 10/10!

The rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable - duvets were like sleeping under a cloud. The boutique Hotel allowed us to get to know the staff and vice versa. They were super attentive. I liked how the kitchen staff allowed us to order off menu to let us try local dishes. The dishes felt homemade which was exactly what I was looking for. Nothing fancy, but simple and honesty meals. The location is footsteps away from the beach and surf that allowed for novice surfers to get a lesson/surf the waves with the locals. The owner and staff made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. We arrived as strangers but left feeling like family.

While the property is still in its soft opening phase, it definitely did not disappoint. The location is very convenient with just 5-8 mins trip from the airport by trike or hotel service & 5-min walk from the beach where different restaurants are located. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and the full glass windows show a calming view of trees that lull you to sleep as they sway with the wind. I was even woken up by monkeys playing the next morning! Should’ve booked a longer stay but I’m definitely looking forward to staying here again once the hotel is finished!

The damage from the previous typoons is still present.

The damage from the previous typoons is still present. There are numerous bars, I recommend the Pacifico Bar, they have Octoberfest sized mugs to hold the Red Horse Beer. It is 50 Pesos each way from the hotel to town and back. On the island tours, the outhouses are the absolute bare minimum, a toilet, no seat, no tank, no TP, a bucket and a ladle and no sink. Wear grippy water shoes, the stairs are slippery. Go see the Coral Garden, elsewhere all the other fish are <5" and no coral. Unless you go to the the Coral Garden, the crystal kayak is a waste of money. Still I had a great time, the staff did an amazing job, life is an adventure!

If you want cool weather, fresh veggies, and have important purpose such as visiting family or meeting with friends then visit Baguio. But prepare to deal with heavy traffic, crowds galore, and extremely difficult parking situation which makes the experience too stressful. My birth place and childhood playground city of pines, fog, and clouds in your face is now just a childhood memory. Baguio succumbed to commercialism so destructive that quality of life is no longer existent unless you are outside the city proper.

We felt like we were scammed in booking this place.

We felt like we were scammed in booking this place. I booked this for our Christmas staycation for the duration of Dec. 24 to 26. But to our disappointment we weren’t able to extend our stay for the nxt day and decided to check out immediately due to the very poor condition of this place. It was dirty! The bathroom (which we are very particular of), the beddings, pillows and towels seemed like it was used already and was only arranged to look like it was newly changed but the smell will prove that it wasn’t. All of us weren’t able to sleep and enjoyed our stay instead we were looking forward to the next day so we could go home no longer thinking that the next day was also paid. From the look of it, It was like they were not expecting any guest coming. From the entrance we already noticed that the place wasn’t maintained properly. The stairs were dusty. Everything! Oh! And also there description of their place were also misleading it was mentioned that there were parkings available but when we arrived they were telling us to just use a vacant lot near them regardless if its safe or not or the owner will allow us😡😡😡

The most important things to do here its the underground river located in a cave about 2h drive away from the hotel by van to the National park. Also its nice to travel down the south for Balabac but I personally picked North up to El Nido for more Island Hoppings.

Filthy squaller. Angeles City is horrible.

Filthy squaller. Angeles City is horrible. Even walking street was hugely disappointing. Lots of closed bars, the bars i did go in were horrible. Women standing on stage, really looked like they didn't want to be tIhere. Just a horrible vibe. Makati is far superior to Angeles in every way possible. Dont waste your time going here. The SM mall which is close to the ABC hotel is very dangerous to get to . You have to try and cross about 4 very busy roads to get to it, no sky bridge, no subway to get there. Who ever designed the location was a moron, MAKE IT SAFE FOR PEDESTRIANS !

Coming from Cebu City, there is a striking difference...

Coming from Cebu City, there is a striking difference between the people as well as the architecture. We went in Mid May and the town was not overrun with tourists. So it was easy to do the sightseeing. Most things are close by and fairly much in walking distance - if it is not too hot for you. Seeing architecture and their development from hispanic to American to modern style was interesting. There is quite a lot of explanation given - should you be looking for it, and some local guides are eager to show you their treasures.

Olongapo was good to kick back and relax.

Olongapo was good to kick back and relax. We spend quite a bit of time at the beach and found some great restaurants and bars. Went to the Zoo one day. That's not an experience I would want to repeat. The animal enclosures were not in top condition and there was very little to no water in them. I love to see animals in an environment that is as close to possible as what they would live in in the wild. This zoo wasn't like that. The lions were all in small concrete cages that looked like jail cells. All concrete and metal bars, that made me sad!!!! We did enjoy the different culture to home though. Jumping on and off the jeeps they use for transport was fun and a really cheap way to get around.
