The receptionist at Hotel Rexton that Friday at 10AM was the most helpful hotel employee I have met in my life. She sorted out all practical problems for me, and I will always remember that. Without particularities in the design and the well-known extravagant luxuries, it offers calm and restful accommodation for those in the city for a business trip. It is next to the city centre, but around the block from the hotel, there is parking space, which is essential. The breakfast could be more decadent, but its quality is quite good. Beautiful city. I had the oportunity to visit the Museum of the Book dedicated to the great Romanian intellectuals of the exile, and also the Museum of History, with wonderful explanations about the history of Oltenia. lovely hour in the art museum. Christmas market is a bit basic and very expensive for what was there. Food incredibly expensive and not great - I normally love mici but this wasn't good.
