-Friendly, helpful staff in all areas, especially Spela at reception who helped us with a number of things, including contacting an attraction for us to help re-schedule a visit, as we don’t speak Slovenian!
-The swimming pool, hot tub, Turkish steam bath and Finnish saunas were a DREAM to get into after long days out, often days with challenging hikes in the mountains
-The room was very cozy and comfortable, tastefully decorated and with a beautiful view of Lake Bled
-Excellent, consistent turn-down service by housekeeping staff
-Access to English-language TV, including the ones with my favorite British mystery shows—very nice to chill out to in the evenings
-Close to many good restaurants, bars and shopping
-Close to bus stops (including the free shuttles) where you can get buses out to Lake Bohinj, Vintgar Gorge and pretty much anywhere else you might want to visit from Bled as a day trip or next destination
-THE BREAKFAST BAR!!! Probably the best I’ve ever seen at this price point! Come to the breakfast table hungry—you won’t regret it. And the dining room is lovely.

I was very pleased with how clean the hotel premises are and how helpful and kind the staff members at Hotel Savica were. I also want to thank Matjaz and Genadjuz for helping me get through to different areas within the hotel such as the swimming pool and spa, and also wanted to thank Matjaz for providing me key information about bus routes to Ljubljana and giving me all the help I need for excursions and holiday plans around Bled, considering that this was my very first time in Slovenia 🇸🇮 I'll definitely come back to Hotel Savica for the amazing people there and the tasty breakfast!

We really enjoyed our stay at the pension, everything is well-kept and beautiful, the rooms are clean and cozy, a lovely back garden, a rich breakfast. The owner of the place gave us explanations and recommendations on where to go and what to do in the area. The place is a 10-15 minute walk to Lake Bled. We left the car in the pension's parking lot and walked to the lake or to the city. We would love to come back.

Amazing views of the lake. Comfortable beds and has a sauna and indoor pool. We even saw a deer feeding outside (from the downstairs sauna room). You definitely won’t be disappointed in this hotel.

Bled is beautiful.
Bled is beautiful. The area around the lake is stunning and the boat trip to the island in a Pletna has to be experienced. We walked up to the castle via the road as the alternate route by steps was too difficult for us. The views were spectacular. We had dinner in the castle restaurant (a 4-course tasting menu) which was absolutely delicious. We took a taxi from our hotel and back as we did not want to walk in the dark. It cost us 20euros each way. There is a little train that you can ride on around the whole lake which gives a good feel for the area. We were staying at the Bled Rose Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis but found a wonderful place to eat, within a 5 minute walk of the hotel, called Art Cafe. Would highly recommend it. There was a very good choice of dishes, the place itself was very clean and the staff friendly and efficient. Thankfully everyone spoke English. If you want to sample the famous Bled Cake then I would suggest you get it from the supermarket (about a 10min walk from the hotel as the crow flies) because it is a third of the price. We bought ours by the lake at a cost of 26euros for 4 pieces whereas the supermarket was less then 5euros for 4. We still enjoyed it though.

Great place for a Vintgar gorge visit - this beautiful natural spot is really worth a visit. After visiting the gorge you can take a nice hike to Bled lake with its island and castle, the trail is quite easy with many nice views.

Rightly described as “the most relaxing destination in Europe,” with “mirror-still water, a serene alpine setting, and fairytale-like scenery.” The lake, the island, the town itself, the views of the Julian Alps, the proximity to other places, the atmosphere, the culture, the cuisine (and options) all contribute to a holiday experience that is nothing short of magical. We have visited Bled several times and even brought a group of 75 people to Bled. It remains among our favorite places in all of Europe.

Bled lives up to its rep as a beautiful spot, but there are a lot of tourists. Try to stay further down the lake than the end with all the big hotels. Good hiking and vibe in the off season (Oct/Nov.)
