It's such a cosy and welcoming place with incredible home cooked meals if you don't want to venture any further for dinner. The breakfast was full of home made delights, such as homemade jams, yoghurt, cheese, and pate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come again.

AustraliaSpacious, bright rooms with the view of the mountains. Perfect location to explore Logar Valley. Breakfast - all home made drinks, jams, traditional cured meats. Very generous and reasonably priced.
Valentina is the best hostess. So welcoming, warm and accommodating. I even had my haircut and blow dry by her, which felt amazing after long hikes.
We had dinner at the restaurant next door and food was so good, fresh local ingredients.
Would definitely come back to this place.

- Sonja was extremely helpful and kind, such a great host.
- Super tasty breakfast with locally produced break, honey and jam.

We travel a lot so we've stayed in a bunch of different accommodations throughout the years. Valentina, the owner, was by far the most accommodating, flexible, friendly and kind host we've every had the pleasure of staying at. We highly recommend staying here. It's very peaceful at night and close to lots of hiking trails. We unfortunately only opted for the breakfast on our last day and regretted it immediately - it was so delicious with lots of really tasty home made food that we wished we would have gone for breakfast on our first day as well :)
The parking has ample space and the whole place is very clean.
We will definitely come here again the next time we visit the area.

My family & I rented 2 rooms at this hotel. We had unexpected snow during our stay so spent more time indoors/at the property than we originally planned and we found it to be a comfortable & cozy place to hang out. The onsite restaurant was delicious, all meals, including breakfast were fresh and abundant. Some of the best traditional Slovenian food we had our entire trip was at this property. The staff was friendly & professional and the valley really is one of the most beautiful places in Slovenia.

The property was in an ideal location for hikes and exploring. The food prepared here was amazing and definitely a highlight of our stay here. The staff as well were lovely and gave us good recommendations for what to do in the area. There is also information in the rooms provided showing the numerous activities you can get up to in the area.

Everything was just perfect. The most amazing view on the mountains from the house and the terrace.
Chalet is private, located a little above.
Alesh and his family were very friendly and helpful.
House has everything we needed (grill, kitchenware, some cooking staff, towels, firewood).

Great walks up the three valleys that are close bye. We had coffee in the information centre in Solcava - staff were excellent. Did the scenic road looking down over the valleys - well worth the drive up and down.

The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great.
The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great. The grocery stores are severly lacking on fresh proteins. We cook alot and didn't like having to purchase plastic coated packaged meats. A decent butcher and pharmacy were at least 30 minutes away.

An excellent location for outdoor activities, especially hiking and cycling. The nature here is really beautiful and we visited this region several times. It also has several really nice restaurants with local specialties and organic food. This time we cycled to Pavličevo sedlo and along the panoramic road and went on a hike towards Matkov škaf. Last time we hiked to ancient cave Potočka zijalka and Ostrica mountain. We ate at the Majerhold mountain lodge below Pavličev sedlo, at the Žibovt farm by the panoramic road, and at the Ojstrica restaurant in the Logarska dolina. Everyone is very friendly. A bike or electric bike that can be rented is the most convenient means of transportation here.

The best appartment we’ve stayed in Slovenia. We’ve stayed in 4. Very spacious, impeccable cleanliness, equipment, cutlery, furniture. Absolutely enjoyable experience. The host is super nice. Totally recommendable.

Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley. The views are spectacular! The air is so fresh and crisp. It is very soothing for the soul. We hiked to Slap Rinka and drove the Panoramic Road. We would have liked to have more time for hiking and exploring. The only downside would be lack of restaurants. We were there in May, so I'm not sure if there may be more options in high season but we had a difficult time finding a place for dinner. The place we ended up was in Luce, Gostlina PR Lampi. The food was very good traditional Slovenian food and excellent wine. Our waiter had a wonderful personality and was a joy to visit with.
