I had a great experience! The room was large, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with a tasteful, modern touch. The bathroom was especially impressive—spacious and stylish. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I asked if I could extend my stay a little longer, and they were more than accommodating—no issues at all, and they even offered additional flexibility if needed. Highly recommended!

I hadn't so much time for sightsing but there is really nice...

I hadn't so much time for sightsing but there is really nice castle in the center. Just few meters from the castle there is a restaurant. Small but looking good but without booking table no possible to eat there. We had some issue to find a restaurant in the evening. Lot of them are open till 16:00 however if someone wants to find a cafe/bar etc there will be no any issue with this. I can fully recommend restaurant "Ristorante Moretti"

I absolutely loved this property!

I absolutely loved this property! The owner was incredibly helpful and always available whenever we needed assistance. It was immaculate and cozy, the location was ideal, and the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing. Every facility exceeded my expectations.

I enjoyed staying in Komarno, as it is generally a lovely...

I enjoyed staying in Komarno, as it is generally a lovely town, with an excellent location, with nice history, very tasty food and excellent weather. People are friendly and helpful and there are various things to do including visiting various hot and cold mineral spring baths which are very healthy. I highly recommend visiting Komarno and same time other close by towns in Slovakia and Hungary.

We were there in the end of December, but it would have been...

We were there in the end of December, but it would have been much better to go when everything is green. There are hiking possibilities and many interesting historical castles and fortresses nearby, like Zvolen and in some small villages. If you want to eat, try the town center, near the mill. There is a pizza shop there which sells italian quality food, and is very child-friendly.

Patince used to be a nice recreational area....but those times are gone! The whole place is in decay, no one cares about the roads, sidewalks, many places are abandoned and crumbling. It feels old and dirty

Historic sites in town but not well presented - most buildings in the castle complex could only be viewed from outside. Unable to find a good place to eat - no-one (including tourist information staff) able to think of a restaurant offering "Slovak' cuisine!

Sturovo is directly across the Danube from touristy...

Sturovo is directly across the Danube from touristy Esztergom in Hungary and it is very plain in comparison. Being in Slovakia it is a cheaper place to stay or to shop. The centre of the town is very quiet in the evenings with just some dimly lit bars and few places serving food. This part of Slovakia is very run down with many buildings abandoned and in advanced decay. The lanes around the town are despoiled by rampant fly tipping on an industeial scale.

Very green, small but lovely city center, walks along the river Danube or kilometres of cycling path heading north along the river Vah. The city fortress, long abandoned and needing some reconstruction, but spectacular to walk through.

Nitra is a pleasant town, situated an hour bus ride away...

Nitra is a pleasant town, situated an hour bus ride away from the Slovak capital Bratislava. Nitra is important for Slovaks because of its history, Christian (sacral) architecture and of course, agricultural studies and trade fairs. I was surprised to also see a Synagogue, which is in a very good condition. It has a unique Moorish and Art Nouveau style. I recommend also a walk up the small hill to see the Calvary and enjoy the view at the whole Nitra. There is a lovely vegan and vegetarian place (open only 11.00-14.00) in the Nitra centre on the Farska street, I ate their main course as well as falafels, delicious! Last but not least, it's good to go for a walk next to the nitra river, it's pleasant
