- From US$203.90 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 207 reviewsA modern, clean hotel with great gym and pool. I got upgraded to a one bedroom and it was excellent , good space, big TVs and a couch and washing machine etc. I hadn't stayed in this area before and had stayed in old town. I much prefer this area for bars and restaurants. The hotel was a great stay and wish I had stayed longer. The staff were all very nice and helpful. One last thing the breakfast buffet was 10/10 and believe me in the last two months of travel it was one of the best with cheeses, proper sausages and the best pastries as they were so fresh.Guest review bystephenNew Zealand
- From US$485.37 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 280 reviewsBeautiful design of buildings and room with lots of nice details like a few leaf imprints in the floors, nicely-shaped water bottles etc. A wonderful bathroom with one whole front of folding doors that allow you to stand right in the forest while taking your shower. Pretty planters and quirky pottery items, and even a tree house. Beautiful gardens with a stream, massive trees and flowers everywhere which must be an arduous task to keep at all times. Lovely swimming pool. Very clean throughout, friendly staff and tasty, generous breakfast.Guest review byKathrinTaiwan
- From US$419.70 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 185 reviewsStayed here for three nights - overall extraordinary experience. It's a perfect getaway if you want to stay away from the crowd in Chiang Mai. As small as the hotel gets, you can still stay at the property for two entire days without thinking to leave. Although it was really pricey for New Year's eve, the hotel prepared a fancy night dinner + outdoor party + fireworks for every guests who want to be part of it, for free. Staffs are of course friendly. The place is well maintained and with good taste - got lots of photo taken.Guest review byYufanChina
- From US$245.93 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 175 reviewsLovely room with nice outside space. Nice walk to the swimming pool and dining area and the restaurant building was really elegant with a beautifully lit view and the reception area was very attractive too. Breakfast was good and the two dinners we had were high quality. I hope the resort will be able to encourage more people - I know the flooding in the area in October meant they had to cancel bookings. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful.Guest review byJoannaUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 296 reviewsIt was my favourite hotel in Chiang Mai so far. I stayed in Hop Inn Airport so I knew what to expect. They have european style high quality beds, which support your back really well. They cleaned my room every day while I was getting coffee. My balcony got sunlight for many hours, but the room didn't get hot and AC was top tier. The location is good. There's a lot of shops and restaurants within 1km radius. The area itself is quiet.Guest review byPetteriFinland
- From US$707.04 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 196 reviewsThe hotel is located 1 hour from CMX so very convenient. The surroundings are beautiful foothills and forest and the hotel area is really stunning with ducks, rabbits and nature. The room was better than I expected, like being in Japan. The Onsen facilities are equal to some of the best I have been to in Japan. Food was good, staff nice and I would happily stay again.Guest review byChrisSingapore

Most of all, great service; everyone was very helpful and kind. Loved the breakfast and food at the "Higher Room." The room was nice and spacious with a big comfortable bed. The fitness center was spacious, with a good amount of equipment than most hotels or resorts I've been to.Guest review byT5BKK71Thailand

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stay to remember!Guest review byTanSingapore - 10.0
Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend.
Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend. Watch the sunrise over teh valley, stare into the clear skies and the stars at night. Visit the tribal villages, the fruit orchards (strawberries and oranges) and the flower gardens. Enjoy a tranquil time.Guest review bySanyamIndia - 8.0

The homestay was perfect for us because we had a vehicle. It would be difficult for those who do not have a vehicle. We had a great time cycling around Mae Rim, including sections of the "Lanna Trail".Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)Guest review byW SukiSingapore - 10.0

The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard to get up especially at night as there are no street lights. The view is easily the main attraction though as well as the bathtub. Food was the Moo Kata which was 490 which was about right for 2 people. Breakfast was okay.Guest review byPitak YindeeamornchaiThailand - 8.0
A big city, the air is much better than in Bangkok.
A big city, the air is much better than in Bangkok. Renting a scooter is good way to get around the city. Officially an international drivers license for motorcycle is required. But I have been there many times and was luckily not stopped by the police. I am vegan, and fortunately there are many vegan restaurants. Unfortunately I don't particularly like Thai food, but :) fortunately there are markets everywhere and plenty of tropical fruits. Also many good vegetables, if you want to cook your own food. Chiang Mai is full of markets where you can get anything from food to cloth, to massage. My wife enjoyed massage she got in one of the temples. Ah, yea, the temples are really impressive, even amazing. And there are so unbelievably many of them. They are everywhere, on main streets, and on side streets. They have big court yards, many temples are open for visitors. Great places to rest or meditate. Their peaceful quite atmosphere, is a big contrast to the rest of the city. In the morning you can see the monks waling around the markets begging for food or perhaps money too. People give them even touch their feet, and then the monks put a holy face on and recite some nonsense. Having received the monks blessings people go away in the same way is if they just bought some cucumbers, or a news paper. Just a normal thing to do, part of the daily routine. One remarkable thing about Thailand is that it is *CLEAN*. Streets are clean, restaurants are clean, toilets are clean. The hygienic standards easily match the cleanest of European countries. This is a huge contrast to India, Pakistan, Nepal which disgustingly filthy. (I have to say that even though I love India). Unlike India/Pakistan/Nepal street food and restaurants in Thailand are safe. The pictures are not from Chiang Mai but from a smaller places some 2 or 3 hours away from Chiang Mai.Guest review byVivartoDenmark - 10.0
Welcoming little town well worth visiting.
Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The cool & freezing weather.
The cool & freezing weather. Must stay here for atleast one night if you have a trip to Chiang Mai. Experience the beautiful flower farm and walking distance. You will appreciate the morning fresh air & cool cloudy fog if you dont mind walking to the flower farm nearby within 15min walk . For Muslim, even though it is only one restaurant that offer halal food , but the taste was worth the price. Will repeat next time if i travel to Chiang Mai.Guest review byRosnitaMalaysia - 8.0
