Hotel was very clean , staff were so kind and friendly. Since we were so exhausted due to the long trip , they upgraded our room to extra large size. Breakfast is good , nothing special but good enough. Room is excellent , washing machine is really helpful , all necessary was provided by hotels , slippers, towels , soap , shampoo etc.

The hotel is beautiful and we loved everything about it. Rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The details: lovely postcards, hats, sandals, bag to use during our stay to take things to the pool. Breakfast from 7 to 9 in the evening was also something different that we loved. The staff are really lovely. You can order a massage at the front desk and the masseuse comes to your room. As of Feb 2025, 400b for a Thai massage and 600b for an oil massage. You can take a tuktuk to the market for 80b roundtrip or it's a 25min walk. It's a 10min walk the other direction to the mangrove forest. There are laundry services for 35b per piece of clothing and they'll do it within the day if you send it in the morning. It's mostly Thai tourists there, everyone really nice and respectful. There's a fire show on the beach at the weekends too. It's good value for money considering the high quality of the location and beautiful swimming pool. There's also a cafe next to reception with really nice quality iced coffee and drinks. A real luxury cafe.

Good bed, water was hot and pressure good. The room was a two-level room, it was a pleasant surprise. The view of the sea right next door was spectacular and the sound of the waves was restful to hear. From here it was also easy to go to Koh Samet for a day tour.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. Amazing sea view from balcony. The hotel is in the Kai Bae - the best area on the island in terms of restaurants and bars. It is our third stay in this hotel and we absolutely love it.

Staying at Sunshine Hotel on Soi 8 is a good location (close to the beach & bars / walking street). The price for the room with breakfast included was the best thing because it allowed me to stay for 29 nights. The options of eating street food or at restaurants close by is also an advantage. I would recommend staying at the hotel to friends & will come back again in the future. The staff are all friendly, in particular Earth.

It's raining season in Thailand now. Therefore, the sea's water on Jomtien Beach is not so clear but it is still available for swimming as well. By the way if you want to take a nap on the beach, you are recommended.

It's a place that is full of go go bars and sex shows so be prepared to be approached on numerous occasions when you walk anywhere. This wasn't a place that I would choose to stay, but it could be what others are looking for. It was a short stop for us as we were island hopping so it was the perfect location for a night.

It was lovely there, definitely the nice part of Pattaya.

It was lovely there, definitely the nice part of Pattaya. Much quieter and more relaxing. If you prefer to be in amongst the hustle and bustle, you would probably prefer to stay in the city centre. Although it was a very short cheap uber or taxi/scooter ride to the city centre.

We hired bicycles for 100 baht near Centara and we could cycle to the waterfall and to visit some other beaches. It is not cheap to get around, 6km was 150 each so 300 baht for 2. We stayed at Bailan beach hotel which was nice and small and intimate with a few other restaurants nearby. We walked about 1km north and south of Bailan beach but the roads are not so safe for walking there. Near Centara the roads are wider with a cycle path.

For us you need to be careful where to stay the main town is disappointing as are all the resorts and the beaches which we visited for a few hours. If you like to be approached by beach sellers trying to sell you various wares then fine but the whole point of visiting an island is to chill and our resort in my view was completely chilled with very little guests and having the whole resort to ourselves whilst everyone else went to commercial beaches. It is true people are like sheep.

I like this area because it is a short distance to the hustle and bustle of Pattaya or Jomtien, but it is quieter and less expensive. If you're looking for a party atmosphere, this isn't it. But if you're looking for laid back bars and restaurants and affordable hotels and vacation rentals near the beach, it's great.

Several good beaches. Our favorite was Tien Beach, for its beauty and big sandy beach. Also some excellent restaurants within walking distance. Well worth learning to ride a motorbike before you come.

Si Racha has 2 attractions; a very nice shoreline park, and a beautiful small island (KOH LOI) connected to the mainland by a causeway. Fortunately for me it does not attract beach- and fun- loving tourists because it has no significant beach or nightlife. Therefore, the main attraction for me is that it is quite peaceful with some nice temples and walks. The people are very friendly and helpful.

Rayong is a not too big city on the Gulf of Thailand with great beaches. what I miss is good restaurants and coffee houses. it is all very Thai, not clean, a lot is broken and will never be repaired. streets are good, Thai driving crazy and dangerous. Thailand is the number one in road accidents and casualties in the world. Thai just do not care. that has also its positive, Thai are not easy to shock. see the acceptance of gay and so on.
