Everything was fantastic. The suite was clean, modern and spacious. The pool being over 2km, there was always a close entry and from anywhere in the resort. The beach was great, waves are small but still allow for boogie boarding or surfing. Supplying free rental on surf boards, boogie boards, kayak and paddle boards is a bonus. Staff is attentive always going out of their way to make sure you are comfortable.

Amazing buffet breakfast - fantastic selection and delicious. Very good wait staff, nice atmosphere and relaxed. Beautiful rooms. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious, very nicely finished, clean and modern. Very nice, luxurious toiletries provided (Marlin & Goetz). Excellent housekeeping services. Beautiful clean beach, multiple pools and multiple restaurants - the pizza oven by the kids play pool was a favourite! Great kids and teens club with different activities and fun games. Gardens are beautifully maintained and bit of fun to see the chickens, ducks, turtle and rabbits.

The accommodation is located on a super beautiful secluded natural beach. This new department shines in the middle of a beautiful palm landscape. The architecture is breathtaking and you don't know where the eyes should go first. Everything is super well maintained, even the smallest blade of grass is perfectly in line. You are greeted super friendly by Zofie and also the other days of our stay we felt super taken care of by her. She took us to our suite called ANO5. What is the name of a native crab species. We also found this idea so nice. The room is a dream with a private pool and a view of the adjacent sea. Every concern and wishes we had were carried out by Zofie as quickly and perfectly as possible. At any time again we would book this paradise in the middle of the countryside.

We stayed there 5 nights during our stay in Khao Lak. Hôtel Gahn is a hidden gem, aside from the convenient location - walking distance to everything (market, muy Thai fight stadium, beaches, supermarket, 7/11, restaurants, laundry, pharmacy), the included breakfast was great; they make barista coffee and great omelettes. But the biggest highlight is the staff and excellent customer service. They were very attentive, kind and helpful. The rooms are well furnished, beds super comfy and the pool is just perfect to relax and chill with a drink after a big day before going out for dinner. We highly recommend this place! Thanks for everything Hotel Gahn !

Great staff, good to great breakfasts, with enough food assortment to satisfy the kids. Bicycles for free to move around, shuttles to Khao Lak from 10.00 to 16.00 and back from 10.30 to 16.30. Pools and a mini aquapark across the premises to enjoy when the sea is too wavy. No limitations on what you can bring and consume in terms of food/beverages. A good example of staff/management kindness was a case where both shuttle buses for 11.00 were full booked, yet I was granted a shuttle to buy some mangosteens and beers at our last day. Basically, no complaints about the staff, food (breakfasts only since the low season), or spirit of the place - reasonable, clean, comfortable, kind, safe, calm. Recommended for fams with kids.

The best breakfast I had ever had …., la aranya restaurant …, the staff, atmosphere, food, location….just extraordinary….bravo! modern boutique furnished villas, the staff was always helpful , polite, smiling…,daily refilled minibar( great choice of the drinks)….sometimes I felt like in a heaven😉for those who loves peace, relaxation, to slown down …from the resort you can go to the sea via staircase which we did not mind or just 5 minutes walk to the left or right are beautiful beaches …

The Kao Lak The Sands is a real gem. Everything had been stunning, from the room, room facilities, to the staff and all the resort facilities such as swimming pool, kids park, beach front sunlounges, bars and restaurants. The care they put in all the aspects of the resort are unbelievable. The breakfast was amazing, and also the restaurants inside, I tried the one of fish close to the beach and was lovely.

A beautiful Beach front -full serviced -Resort hotel with full amenities. The Villas were spacious with balcony. Breakfast buffet had Egg and noodle station, with fresh fruit, fruit juices and cold and hot breakfast buffet offerings. Besides the vast beach area the hotel also have a huge swimming pool. restaurant food was tasty and priced reasonably. Excellent service. Overall great value for money

Breakfast was fair enough to enjoy, although there were many visitors. We had an unforgettable experience. On the first night of our stay, there was a sudden loud noise which turned out to be the breaking down of the airconditioning compressor. The front desk and security members promptly checked and changed the room to a tranquil place. All the people working in the hotel were so kind and smile.

Would have liked to do Khao Sok, and because there's a lot to do around Khao Lak, would probably have enjoyed an extra day or two to actually stay on a beach and relax. We hired bikes, perfect for the area, and accessed Surin and Similan islands, snorkelling and scuba. Personally thought Surin and the snorkelling was better. Have fun with the 7-elevens.

Trips to the islands are a must Ko lak is a cut above Phuket more refined better restaurants excellent choice of hotels and all in all nicer people No gangs of young Indian lads it was a joy to return to the old Thailand

This is the place to be if youn want to experience the awesome scuba diving in that area. Khao lak is a quiet laid back little town. You can walk to some of the beaches and they are nice. plenty of restaurants and shops. Not super touristy or loud.
