In all my years in Thailand this is the absolute best hotel I can recommend. This is a true 5 star hotel. The staff is outstanding and the service is exceptional. The breakfast is perfect with everything you could need, and so is the service. Unfortunately only stayed one night this time but will be back soon.

its a beautiful new resort with a lot of green and walkways with beautiful gardens. looks like they grow their own spices and also have some chickens running around in there as well. the kids club is exceptionally good with loads of playstuff and a great staff that enjoys playing with the kids. beautuful sports amenities and the food is also very nice. the pools are great and theres a fun pool with water stuff for kids. but also a more quiter pool for normal swimming. the beach side is fantastic with natural shade from the trees. more than enough beach chairs. bangsak beach area is very nice with some small restaurants on the beach too if you dont want to spend too much on the food at the hotel.

We had as an couple an excellent and very friendly stay at the Haven Khao Lak. Hotel itself is beautiful and the general feeling was very peaceful and there was this sense of serenity. Pool is excellent, very large and you definitely can do long distance swimming practice there if you want. Pool was clean also. Enjoyed it a lot. Room was beautiful and good quality. Beds gave us lovely sleeps. Air-conditioning works very well and you can adjust it how you like. We didn't hear any noises from other rooms, it was peaceful and nice. Gym was good. Hotel activities were excellent and fun, highly recommend having them, you can get to know with other hotel visitors that way also if you want. Breakfast was well made, coffee is served to the table. Service excellent! I liked this restaurant a lot, food had very good taste. Thanks to the chefs. We actually visited this hotel's restaurant quite often while staying in the hotel, excellent surroundings and service again. You also get free ride to certain restaurant from the hotel if you want to visit other places also. There are also few other places to eat 500m walk from the hotel. We didn't go to them but heard that those are good options also. One of the best things is the beach, it's so peaceful and quiet, there is in front of the hotel on the beach some benches and hammocks and swings, think about watching the sunset there without any restaurant buzzing or other things, just peace and a painting that slowly changes, light breeze and ocean making it's sounds. You can rent a scooter from the hotel like we did, no problems, easy and quiet drive to the main road. There are some rental firms at Khao Lak that also deliver scooter to the hotel for little price if you like that option. Good secure parking for the scooter. The staff deserves extra mention as they were very friendly and helpful, if we had any problems they were very willingly to help us out.

The Kao Lak The Sands is a real gem. Everything had been stunning, from the room, room facilities, to the staff and all the resort facilities such as swimming pool, kids park, beach front sunlounges, bars and restaurants. The care they put in all the aspects of the resort are unbelievable. The breakfast was amazing, and also the restaurants inside, I tried the one of fish close to the beach and was lovely.

The room we stayed in was out of this world our little bit of luxury, situated perfectly for our trip to Khao lak. Right on the beach and walking distance to the food market and restaurants. Hotel couldn’t do enough for us, even when we checked out we left our luggage there overnight while we went on an overnight trip and returned the following evening to our next destination.

Absolutely loved this place. We had the pool access room and wow was that amazing. The views and the convenience was just next level. We came to relax and chill and that is exactly what we did. The buffet breakfast every morning was a great start to the day and definitely worth the money. Can we go back already. We are also recommending it to our friends already.

Ohh …what I liked most was definitely the location situated on a beautiful beach with stunning sunsets. I had a sea view room and the room had the best bed I ever tried in Thailand… really comfortable. The breakfast is served by the beach and it’s only a 10/15 minutes walk to one of the city centres.

Would have liked to do Khao Sok, and because there's a lot...

Would have liked to do Khao Sok, and because there's a lot to do around Khao Lak, would probably have enjoyed an extra day or two to actually stay on a beach and relax. We hired bikes, perfect for the area, and accessed Surin and Similan islands, snorkelling and scuba. Personally thought Surin and the snorkelling was better. Have fun with the 7-elevens.

This is the place to be if youn want to experience the awesome scuba diving in that area. Khao lak is a quiet laid back little town. You can walk to some of the beaches and they are nice. plenty of restaurants and shops. Not super touristy or loud.
