This is i think one of the best hotels in Phuket. It is new, not old style, with a contemporary design and facilities. From the reception area, the employees, the service, the facilities, the design, the room itself, the cleanliness, the comfort, staff assistance, communication, the food, the laundry, the restaurant and most amazingly the swimming pool right on top for children and adult and also supported by it own bar. The restaurant is just amazing with nice food, environment and service and PRICE!!! We just had an amazing stay at HOMA, we just loved our stay with the family.

It was the best! The hotel is very clean and convenient overall. The room, the beach, the pool… the bed was I think the comfiest hotel bed I’ve ever slept in, the bathroom was amazing, wide, clean and practical. The staff was amazing! They were so friendly and all spoke very good English. The beach is really good too. At first I was scared because they warned us there might be jellyfish but we didn’t see any and everyone else was also enjoying the ocean, so I don’t think it’s common. The sunbeds get busy during the day but we always managed to find one. There are really nice restaurants/bars and massage places on the beach too next to the hotel. There is happy hours during the day at the pool bar and you get 1+1 on the drinks! The breakfast was good with selections wide enough. We haven’t tried the hotel’s restaurant but ordered room service once and the food was delicious. Overall, it was a top resort experience and we definitely want to come back.

What can I say about this hotel. More than you will ever expect. The rooftop pool? Able to enjoy day and night? Without many people? Karon magic! The jacuzzi and hot steam? Paradise. The massage ladies? Professional and happy to serve, with decent prices? The room? Stylishly decorated, big size, excellent shower size and function. Food? A lot to try for everyone, reasonably priced for Phuket. Excellent vegetarian options with European or Thai-style food too! Peaceful, in walking distance from everything. The breakfast was excellent quality and the staff? The best, with first of all the Manager that is always present, his door is always available to knock if you ever need anything and all these come with big smiles and polite personnel. Highly recommended

The island Koh Yao Yai itself is a very quiet place, with not too much things to do, so the resort offers a range of activities, with many options to explore (from yoga, to kayaking and island tours). We also appreciated the small touches, like the complimentary fresh water bottles stocked in our room every day :) This was truly a magical vacation, and we’d return in a heartbeat. We had high expectations for Krabi and Ao Nang, and the sunset was genuinely spectacular, but the visit left us disappointed. The area feels crowded and not particularly Thai or relaxing. Most restaurants and stalls aren’t Thai owned or operated, and staff were pushy, stopping people on the street and handing out menus. Oddly, very few places served actual Thai food, mostly low-quality Western dishes and generic Indian food. Prices were outrageous, more like Europe than an island premium. The main street was loud and chaotic, with nightclubs blasting music and boxing promoters driving around with speakers. After two months in Thailand, Ao Nang was by far the least Thai place we visited.

Koh Phi Phi is great.

Koh Phi Phi is great. If the weather had been better, then I would have preferred to have more time for outdoor activities. Since it was not good, there was only so much you can do on this tiny island. I stayed at the Relax Resort and would not have changed my selection. It was so pretty! The snorkeling just outside our door was surprisingly good. There are so many activities to choose from during your stay. We took a speedboat to Koh Phi Phi from Krabi and again from Koh Phi Phi to Phuket. Both were pleasant and fast.

The hotel is in a great location on top of the old town and...

The hotel is in a great location on top of the old town and seconds from great shops, coffee bars and a vast range of venues. It is an excellent value place to stay if you want to be in the centre. The old town is great for the Sunday walking street and has everything to offer. A selection of different music artists, brilliant choice of street food and lots to spend your money on. Thoroughly recommend.

Various secured beaches, lots of greenery but also a little run down in places. Trips to Koh Rok and Koh Haa excellent for snorkelling. Nothing to see in sea here sadly. Lovely food from many restaurants. Klong Nin I felt was the perfect choice in middle of island, quite but lots to see. Easy to explore but tuk tuk more exp. National park and monkeys worth seeing as is old town. Drove to Lanta Noi across bridge, very rustic and traditional. I’d highly recommend spending some time here

We came here to have a relaxing week during National Week in October. My husband and daughter had some of the best scuba diving experiences and they would definitely love to go back and do more dives (yet there are so many other places to go and see....). We stayed in the southeast for the first part of the trip, and found that to be a bit secluded - great resort, but a little too isolated and cut off for us overall. The second half we stayed in Sairee Beach area and it was amazing! So much going on and great restaurants and sunset views at your fingertips. We had wanted to rent scooters to explore the island more, but after seeing the condition of the roads (very steep and sharp turns), and so many people with "Thailand tattoos" from road rash, we decided against it, so we didn't get to see as much as we'd hoped. Maybe next time....

I read a lot of reviews about the amazing beaches of Koh Samui. I tried many of them and I can tell with confidence that Chaweng was the best by miles. I was based in Chaweng and I though to check the other beaches. I walked all over Lamai, which is very panoramic, but there is a constant stink wherever you go and the beach inside has a lot of corals/rocks that will probably hurt your feet. Crystal Bay was tiny, not comfortable because of the corals and overcrowded. I didnt see Fisherman Village beach while the others on the east side looked dirty. Choose Chaweng

Lovely strip of mainland beaches that reaches north for around 20kms; less frenetic than Phuket but still with plenty of casual beach restaurants and massages; lots of restaurants on the main road within easy walking distance of resorts; close to golf courses and nature reserves for adventure activities and also within closer reach of the spectacular Similian and Surin Islands (high season only from November to March); a great choice of accommodation from simple guest houses and bungalows to international-branded resorts with every imaginable facility and activity, great options for every type of holiday from a multi-generational family reunion to a quiet getaway for couples; easily reached by a good road from Phuket International Airport in one hour, the same time taken to reach some Phuket hotels from the airport during busy periods.

It's a pretty rustic, typical old Thai town, the locals are lovely, peaceful people Krabi Airport :-Be sure to have some baht notes if you're taking a driver or taxi to your hotel- there are ATMs at Krabi airport but easier if you have cash The Friday & Saturday food markets are great for Thai foods of all sorts Take a long boat ride from along the riverside - a couple of hours touring the river and surrounds for 50 - 100 AUD Riverside Restaurant and Bar us a good place for dinner Blu Monkey is great little hotel

Kata was nicer than Patong - less night life, We didnt enjoy the beaches the amount of rubbish in the sand and water is very sad- not just Kata we found the all the Phuket beaches the same, very sad or maybe we are very lucky in NZ to have beautiful rubbish free beaches
