Absolutely loved this hotel. Check in was enjoyable and they treated us to coffee and tea with chocolate rock candy and even left a brownie in our room as a welcome treat. It was such a nice hotel for an amazing price and the staff were very friendly and kind. Also incredibly close to the train station and in a great location for walking around.

The hotel is unbelieavably amazing, with the most friendliest staff I have ever met. It is the perfect place to disconnect from the world, and connect with your inner self, nature, simplicity, and the beautiful people around you. Though struggling with my Turkish a bit, the manager and all the people within the hotel spoke fluent English and they were able to assist when needed. They went far beyond just helping me out, where they made sure I am completely comfortable, felt safe of not getting lost, gave me tips to how to find my way around or go to the city center easily as well, and even went the extra mile to assist me with finding what I am looking for and easily finding my way back to the hotel through the green bus. A place I will definitely visit again, maybe to stay longer this time. I seriously felt like I was living in a beautiful memory - you know how we all have that dream sometime to live in a certain year where things were simpler, people were smiling when your eyes meet, and those sitting next to you enjoyed reading the newspaper while they indulge on a cup of coffee .. have sweet small talks with you to build that social feeling .. well yes! Exactly that <3 Waking up to an amazing view, having a beautifully prepared breakfast set for you whether you want it indoor or outdoor where the weather was simply amazing! While in this city and hotel I met beautiful people, and had lovely small talks, and enjoyed playing with their friendly cats who wanted to be petted and pampered while trusting you as if you are a regular in that place :) A walk around is definitly a must :) where you can see houses around with fruits of different kinds dangling from their house walls .. and people enjoying an afternoon tea from their backyard with small laughters, the sea was a walk away from the place .. and the greenery was everywhere .. a very peaceful feeling!

We (a party of 7) were so lucky and happy to find this boutique hotel for our visit to Pamukkale. Thanks to its owner Ali, we had the most enjoyable and relaxing day in Pamukkale during our 17 day vacation. From the moment I booked the hotel, Ali was in constant contact with me, answering all my questions and helping design an itinerary that fits our needs. We used his driver and vehicle for two days for a reasonable price, so we didn’t have to drive and stress out. The hot air balloon ride he booked for us was an experience we will cherish the rest of our lives. He also booked us a Turkish bath which was relaxing and enjoyable. Ali even arranged an urgently needed airport transfer for us days later in another city. As for the hotel itself, it’s very close to one of the entrances to the Travertines. Rooms were spacious and clean. We cannot thank Ali enough for a wonderful time in Paumkkale!

It is a wonderful resort. There is a whole section for kids with water slides, pools, and sports. The staff was very respectful and friendly. It was the cleanest resort I have ever been. Even the restrooms in common areas were very clean. The food was amazing., large variety and delicious. The beach was beautiful, the pools were so nice and the entertainment was well worth watching. Overall great for family vacation. The resort also have pools and other areas adults only.

Izmir can be a jumping off point for other Turkish adventures, as it was for me on a side trip to Kappadokya and Pamukkale. But it's close connection to Turkiye's founding, Ataturk, makes it interesting in its own right. I went to a traveling exhibition of Miro's works here. The Ascansor provides a nice place for a dinner and drink. Shopping on Cypress street, or taking the short harbor ferry to Karsikaya (sp?) are great, as is the bazaar. The Ataturk museum, the train museum across the street from Alsancak Gar, are also pleasant places to view the origins of Turkish history.

This is where to stay if visiting Ephesus!!

This is where to stay if visiting Ephesus!! But lots more in the area. Allow a day for the castle , a day for village(/s), a day for Ephesus. Unfortunately the Ephesus entry now includes what was once a 15 Euro charge for the "Ephesus Experience". So price up from 25 to 40. Sadly the "Experience" seemed inappropriate- high tech visuals to show storm waves somehow closing off the harbour (it gradually silted up over the centuries... ). Giant Mark Anthony and Cleopatra on separate chariots in the main street... interesting computer graphics, but not something I would voluntarily pay for. And I don't really buy the idea that the Godess Artemis is really watching over the town to this very day. Selcuk doesn't need this.

Marmaris is a fantastic town — the restaurants, shops, and overall atmosphere were wonderful. The shopkeepers do try to invite you into their stores, but they’re not pushy — if you say no, they leave you alone. The shopping is excellent, especially for sportswear, trainers, shoes, and bags — lots of great bargains and very good fakes. We visited at the end of September, which turned out to be an ideal time to go, with a nice mix of people and a great vibe. Icmeler is just 10 minutes away by taxi (around 500 lira) or by bus (about 1 euro), and buses run every five minutes, so I definitely recommend using them. Icmeler is also a beautiful town and a great place to stay. I’ll definitely be coming back for another holiday!
