Everything was delightful and decorated for Christmas. Location was convenient to the electric buses which were a bonus. Felt the food service could have been better and it would have been nice to have breakfast included in our stay. Had lobster bisque one evening and was ill the next two days with gastro issues. Not sure if it was food poisoning but I had all the symptoms. We ESPECIALLY enjoyed the Haunted 311 Room tour given by John who is a talented actor.

Very pet friendly. Comfortable beds Dinner menu superb. Bathrooms exceptionally. Friendly Staff. The only thing I have to say is that the parking costs of $18 was out of range. I parked my own car which was only a few yards away from the entrance. The cost percentage compared to room cost is not in line with the hotels I usually stay in. I staid in the hotel In Dec and returned in Jan and was charged a pet fee the second time and parking, which I parked myself and got my own luguage,

Wonderful location within walking distance Main St, Market St, Station St, Chattanooga Choo Choo etc. Extremely close to Ruby Falls. The bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a hotel. The shower was very relaxing as well! Friendly & accommodating staff. Lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas! Valet service was wonderful and friendly as well. We visited with the intention of exploring the area within walking distance BUT you could honestly visit The Chattanoogan Hotel and never have to leave the property with so many options on site!

The hotel is well located in the city. It attracted me because of the quirky and unique design. I’m often in chain hotels which are intentionally very predictable. This is in a completely different league. It’s half museum-half hotel in so far as all the decor is unique. Every room has a different theme. All the public areas have a different theme. It’s quite whimsical and busy. Every nook has a different curio so you can’t assume anything in the visual palate. It was a bit of a treat to experience and the price was mid range for the area.

For our family visit we went up lookout mountain by car, it was beautiful but not a must do. The most beautiful visits were of RUBY FALLS (1.5-2hrs) and ROCK CITY 2.5-4 hrs). Online pre-reservation is required. Don't miss those, its a must if your in Chattanooga.

Getting around Hixson is very easy, as far as road...

Getting around Hixson is very easy, as far as road accessibility, but the GPS seems to go off just a little bit every now and again. But the re-routing was not bad and it was easy to get back on the right track. I was here for a specific event and didn't do any outside touring, but it is so close to Chattanooga and there is a lot to do there.

Chattanooga has very beautiful scenery the Christmas decorations and lights were beautiful . The police there seem to be bored .The motel I stayed in was in a good location but the worst of the worst hotels to stay in . The maintenance man appeared to be buying drugs several times from other guests also the maintence guy and the nightshift desk guy made me and my teenage daughters uncomfortable them more than me we caught the two workers on more then one occasion lingering around my daughters room the hotel hallway was flooded by sewage . And the police seemed to stay parked in the parking lot very. There was a lot of drug usage in the stairwells as well as prostitution a lot of homeless people lingering as well in the halls this is the motel 6 at 5505 brainerd rd other then that Chattanooga is.very beautiful outside the city limits

We really didn't see much of Hixson - we got to the motel after dark and left as soon as we packed up and ate breakfast. If travelers want to be close to the sights in Chattanooga, they might consider a motel closer in to Chattanooga.

I’m not sure what’s going on with traffic in this town but...

I’m not sure what’s going on with traffic in this town but someone needs to do some auditing. There’s definitely something suspicious going on. There is no way in HE double hockey sticks that as many projects as I saw going on at one time need to be going on at one time. They’re hiding money. It’s absolutely beautiful, breathtaking, if you can get through the traffic.

It was good for a weekend getaway.

It was good for a weekend getaway. We did have a few complaints for small issues. When we got checked-in we had requested bedding for the pull out sofa and never got any. Then when we went to unpack we noticed a dark dirt spot on the fitted sheet. Room service was still on the floor across the hall and we asked if they could change the sheets while we went out. The stains where still there when we came back and the only thing we got was a flat sheet sat on the sofa when we got back. Then when we took the kids to the pool there where no pool towels. When we asked for towels they told us we would have to wait cause they were all in the laundry.
