The traffic on the interstates was unbelieveable bad.

The traffic on the interstates was unbelieveable bad. The last few miles into the city was just horrible. It is like torture to drive there. I was there in early Dec and there are very few things to do inside. I went to a couple of museums just for something to do. I left a day early because it was such a waste of time.

Raleigh is not a city where you go downtown for much more than government business. There's a dearth of restaurants , entertainment , lodging and shopping. You must drive everywhere and the driving is a royal pain. The population has exploded which equates to dense traffic. Just generously pad the time Mapquest or Google tells you it'll take from one location to another.

I love Ashville. Been there several times on the way to HHI.

I love Ashville. Been there several times on the way to HHI. I go to the discount shoe outlet on brevard road...much cheaper than Nordstrom...all the fancy brands....seriously always buy a few pairs...to wear on HHI. I dont bring shoes with me. Just merrell slipons in case a rain or snow. We are older and like to take several days to drive from chgo to HHI. I sew, so i go to the Ashville Cotton Co. Reasonable prices...Joann closed and my options are limited. So when i travel i look at fabrics...my chgo neighbor recommended the Cotton Co. We have always stayed at the comfort inn mall. After the drive in...we take a walk around the semi enclosed mall for exercise and then get dinner from the Harbor Inn...next to the comfort inn...can walk. We stay one day so i have to be targeted. Next year im going for two days so we can go to the arts district snd i can get inspiration! Not sure about the comfort inn by the mall..the property is tired..a sign to find an alternative. I would love to stay at the biltmore but they are Not Dog friendly....I called then and offerred to pay a fee and give a big deposit.... We drove a bit on the blue ridge park way and it was very pretty. Will investigate again.

They had either bedbugs or things from animals that I got bit by continuously. The rooms are not professionally cleaned. The towels and sheets are not clean and white and there's need for a lot of new in room construction that needs to be done inside the rooms.the quality is cheap and horrible And it's a bad for californians. And new yorkers, because coming from out of town, we would expect more! Quality and clean environment!

Everything was awesome in Fayetteville from traveling around town to going to welcome center for information about the area was awesome. Traveling around was not as bad as being in Charleston SC. Less stressful. I'm looking forward to transitioning to Fayetteville.

We attended a baby shower but had family over the night before and the place was excellent and accomodated a 6 person get together/Dinner. Durham itself is great to explore,.. with the Duke Gardens, Golf courses and driving ranges, Downtown Durham YMCA for basketball, colleges, and a vibrant Art community.

I was disappointed with the stay. Check in took too long.

I was disappointed with the stay. Check in took too long. While the room was clean, there was no shower curtain in the bathroom. I asked the staff for one but NEVER got it. I asked for additional towels, as they only had a face and bath towel in the room. They didn’t provide any extras. It was noisy at night. The bed was rather unstable. I would not recommend.

I was at Cherokee for the Cherokee Invitational Basketball tournament. The tournament was held inside the gym at Harrah's hotel and Casino. The affordable Fairfield Inn was directly across the street from Harrah's, so we had the convenience and ambiance of the restaurants in Harrah's and an affordable hotel option so conveniently located.
