There were plenty of great options for children to stay entertained and enjoy the experience, which we really appreciated. However, we did experience some uncomfortable interactions in the area — particularly from a few individuals who seemed uneasy or unwelcoming toward people wearing hijabs. We loved Hatcher Gardens, it was probably the highlight of our trip. The downtown area was a bit hard to navigate with a larger vehicle but there was a lot to see/do there as well. The staff at the Hub City Train Museum was phenomenal- knowledgeable and friendly.
