Coco Villa is a really amazing new hotel, with wonderful facilities super spacious rooms, located slightly outside the touristy area, a nice more remote location with surrounding traditional villages (it is very easy to get everywhere), but it was a bonus to see less tourists. A great touch was the free bicycles available on the premises, which made it a no-brainer to get around Ninh Binh. Everyone tries so hard, special thanks to the kindest and most attentive staff: Duc, Cuong, Luc, Ninh, hanah, Thai :) We found that the mini golf course was an awesome use of the space. Overall 11/10

We loved the location! It was a little bit out of the hustle and bustle, yet close to restaurants, a beautiful pagoda, and an easy ride to town. Everything was very clean and the staff was so kind and helpful.

The host Nga was extremely helpful from helping us to set our itinerary. It really felt like being at home as Nga and her family is so welcoming! And they are very flexible, we could use the shower and pool after finishing our hike despite we had already checked out. They can also drive you around Ninh Binh!

My partner and I loved this Homestay. HANA you were amazing and so so cute. You daughter HANA was also just as cute (: would 100% recommended staying here if you are travelling to tam cốc. With scooter and push bike rental available you are close to everything you need. Breakfast was offered to us every morning with good suggestions to do during the day. We would stay here again for sure. Great value for money. Customer service you just cannot beat. 😀😀

Absolute tranquility in a secluded quite spot of Tam Coc but that said was right next to the village and was a mere 2min cycle or 5 min walk to village. Loved having access to bikes for the day and being able to cycle all over tam coc. The koi fish were fun to watch and the bird sounds made it super relaxing. LOVED the place and could happily stay a month or more.

Everything is an incredibly good service. They are helpful with absolutely amazing tours to Trang An and Tam Coc with a private guide and driver, which can only be recommended. Our guide Thong is the best guide we have ever had. He gave us two fantastic days with full catering, ice-cold water, stories, and much more.

Amazing family atmosphere, friendly and lovely people. Placement was insane near the lake where you could relax and enjoy the view and landscape of tamcoc hills. A hidden gem in a paradise place. Breakfast rich and tasty cooked by a lovely person (seven) who we will remember out of heart. Dont miss it.

The property is surrounded by greenery, it is a peaceful oasis in the country side. The staff were so nice and helpful. I loved the duplex room, the beds were comfy. The tour organizer was so caring, she organized a night tour at the bai Dinh pagoda which was just breathtaking at night.

We actually stayed in Tam Coc, a nearby smaller tourist town...

We actually stayed in Tam Coc, a nearby smaller tourist town next to Ninh Binh. We stayed for 6 nights total and there were lots of things to do around. Pagodas, tamples, lots of caves, boat tours through those caves, Hang Mua view. I can definitely recommend it.

The bed was a king size, comfiest bed I have slept in all Vietnam, also the air con worked, having your own bathroom and shower, and the staff were super lovely. Loved the stay here felt super luxurious.

As far as I can make out, this town is a suburb/area of Ninh...

As far as I can make out, this town is a suburb/area of Ninh Binh, less than a mile from the train station. It is probably the friendliest place I've ever been - I think I was "helloed" by just about everyone under 10 I saw. But the highlights are really in the surrounding countryside, so I would recommend planning for a few days out to see the nature reserves and participate in the activities. You don't need to travel far, and can get Grab taxis or bikes if you don't have your own transport.

After few days in hectic but great Hanoi, I thoroughly enjoyed Ninh Binh. I explored the area including the Trang An boat through the Halong Bay on land (it really is), cycling around the rice fields, visiting the Mua Cave (and going up the mountain), the hidden parts and cafes. It’s a slower pace place but this makes it special.

I had a wonderful experience at Lighthouse Hotel in Ninh Binh. The hotel is located in a convenient location, near markets and attractions, making transportation easy. Rooms are clean, comfortable and fully equipped with amenities. In particular, the receptionist is very friendly and enthusiastic, always ready to assist customers. The hotel also provides a private cooking area and dining table for guests, creating a feeling of home. The yard is spacious and airy, providing a relaxing space after days of exploration. I will definitely return to Lighthouse Hotel on my next trips to Ninh Binh.

Ninh Binh itself is an industrial city - the real...

Ninh Binh itself is an industrial city - the real attraction is Trang An. Get there early - 6:50am, choose Route 1, and prepare to be transported into another world. Pictures do not capture the other worldly atmosphere of the place - it really is something special.
