You cannot get a better experience than this. Period. Probably the best stay of my life. The host is super nice, he literally always had a cup of tea ready for us as soon as we stepped into the hotel. The views are stunning, there is a road that leads up to this and is very scenic. You can easily rent bicycles/motorbikes to tour the village. There is a free foot massage as well. The host gave us gifts as well at the time of departure. Everything was perfect.

Best stay during our 2 1/2 week vacation in Vietnam. The family is very friendly and helpful, they provided information on what to visit, bicycles, scooters, laundry service and served us breakfast (really tasty BTW) earlier than normal when we had to leave for Ha Long Bay. They also helped with booking transportation from Hanoi and to Ha Long Bay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is great because it’s off the beaten path but within walking distance from the center.

We arrive in a small, isolated spot, but close to the city and points of interest. The staff are really very attentive and give advice to help you plan your trip. You can book an excursion, scooters with a really good price . At any time, the staff will respond to your requests with commendable professionalism and kindness. The beds are super comfy! The room is very clean no bugs either which was a win! The staff are very helpful. We got to use the cycling bikes for free whenever we wanted and we could also hire a motorbike and the price was a decent price. The area is nice and quiet not near loud music it’s a very nice area and there is a gym not far away either. I recommend if you want to stay somewhere comfy and not it a loud area. Food places are not far away and the shops are pretty close as well. Also Netflix in the room which is a win

The location is beyond amazing! Best location ever!! The staff was truly helpful, gave us a map on the first day, and helped us organize our tours in the area. They also rend bicycles, which is the best thing you can do over there. The traffic is not so bad in the village and in the countryside almost everyone is on a bike. Even though we stayed in early January, the weather was great, and with almost no mosquitoes, which was a concern given that the bungalows are on a lake. Relaxing on the porch underneath the hills with a book and hearing the sounds of nature is just priceless.

This was one of my favorite stays in Vietnam. The location is great, a short walk by the lake away from the main street, but quiet and serene. The Bungalow is right by the river, the view is really nice. The staff was so helpful and nice, they helped me with my plans and activites and even gave me tea and a packed meal to go, once I left. Breakfasts were really good as well. There were lots of options, continential or local. Cant recommend it enough!:))

Ninh Binh itself is an industrial city - the real attraction is Trang An. Get there early - 6:50am, choose Route 1, and prepare to be transported into another world. Pictures do not capture the other worldly atmosphere of the place - it really is something special.

As far as I can make out, this town is a suburb/area of Ninh...

As far as I can make out, this town is a suburb/area of Ninh Binh, less than a mile from the train station. It is probably the friendliest place I've ever been - I think I was "helloed" by just about everyone under 10 I saw. But the highlights are really in the surrounding countryside, so I would recommend planning for a few days out to see the nature reserves and participate in the activities. You don't need to travel far, and can get Grab taxis or bikes if you don't have your own transport.

We stayed in Tam Coc which is the centre of all of the activity. Touristy, but worth it, beautiful place, lots to see and do. Don't miss the Tam Coc boat tour but leave first thing in the morning to be on the river by yourself and to watch the Lotus flower open. Stunning boat trip. The viewpoint is great but avoid going up to the dragon as it can be dangerous near the top. A must see is the gardens - take the time to go out and walk around, absolutely stunning. Really enjoyed our time here and would recommend to anyone. The scenery is just spectacular.

I had a wonderful experience at Lighthouse Hotel in Ninh Binh. The hotel is located in a convenient location, near markets and attractions, making transportation easy. Rooms are clean, comfortable and fully equipped with amenities. In particular, the receptionist is very friendly and enthusiastic, always ready to assist customers. The hotel also provides a private cooking area and dining table for guests, creating a feeling of home. The yard is spacious and airy, providing a relaxing space after days of exploration. I will definitely return to Lighthouse Hotel on my next trips to Ninh Binh.

Beautiful Tranquil place in the middle of scenic hills...

Beautiful Tranquil place in the middle of scenic hills forests and rivers. The Trang An river complex is a must see and Id recommend it over the Tam Coc anyday. The Trang An boat ride is approx 2.5 to 3 hrs and takes you through at least three water caves one of which is about 2omin long..its a once in a lifetime wondrous experience. Dont miss the Thung Nam bird park ..another beautiful hushded boat ride. Thoroughly enjoyable and Beautiful visit..not to be missed.
