Even better than the pictures! The design of the hotel and the rooms is very pleasant to the eyes. I felt like I was in the movie Dune. Everything was well thought out and very clean. The bed was super comfy. You could even hear the waves. I loved the outside shower and spa bath with view of palm trees and the sea (and stars at night!). The lighting and smell of the room were great too and really made me feel comfortable. The hosts were lovely and helpful, and the home cooked veggie pho was one of the most delicious I've ever had. I will definitely be coming back to stay here.

The room is clean and the general upkeep of the room and hotel is good. The stairway is wide and well maintained by the cleaners including the corridor. Housekeeping is good too. Most of all, the young boyish gentleman manning the reception is welcoming, courteous, attentive and responsive. He smiles all the time. He is truly a great asset to the hotel, being the "face" of the hotel to all guests. He gains at least 3 extra points from us for the hotel out of 10 to add to the review points for the hotel. As for location, it's hard to say which stretch of Ham Tien beach is the best spot but we would give 8.5 out of 10 for the hotel location. Moreover, the swim pool and deck chairs at the beach of its sister hotel right opposite adds to its advantage

Fantastic stay. Where to start? The staff didn't know what good to do for us. The grounds have a beautiful layout, withartistic decorations.. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with palm trees and bougainvillaeas and of course the Pandanus plant and are so well-kept. Especially children were fascinated by the carps. The birds - and the frogs! - thrive here. The beds are super comfortable. There are also cosy bungalows with terraces scattered on the spacious grounds. The restaurant has Vietnamese dishes and Western, also for breakfast. The breakfast spread is lavish. There are complimentary activities, like walking tours, yoga, tai chi. There is a daily shuttle bus to the nearest small town. The staff were happy to teach us a little Vietnamese when we asked them. The service and facilities by the two pools was great. They had delish drinks, included a delicious coconut with water and tender flesh - almost a meal in itself! By the large pool there is also a restaruant facing the sea - fabulous for a sundowner! The bartender in the bar knew his job to perfection. The massage (Vietnamese traditional) was out of this world! Delicate and hygienic environment. The beach was raked and cleaned daily and the pool staff were extremely attentive. There are life guards. Play area for kids. We want to thank each and every one of the staff for making our stay like being in paradise and for spoiling us rotten! Eva - host/guest relations - was extremely helpful and gave us a lot of useful information. Qyuin in the guest relations/reception went out of her way to explain linguistic challenges. Henry in guest relations went out of his way to comply with our requests and explaining cultural phenomena. Çuȯc in the restaurant gave the 7 star service and we cannot name each and every one, but they all did perform to 7 stars, also the people behind the scenes, the kitchen staff, gardeners, technicians, etc. It was very hard to leave lazy life in Paradise!

Sonata is a little paradise! It is a small and local resort in the middle of a lot of construction sites. It seems a lot of local families stay here to celibrate anniversaries. There is little to do and no other restaurants, but there is no need. You should really go now before it all gets completely comersilialize. We booked 3 nights but extended 1 night. You have the beach completely to yourself. They clean the beach every morning but you should be aware that the rest of the beach is quite dirty because of all construction. If you go for a long beach walk, do it in the morning. We booked a room with seaview, which was very good , but there are strandvillas that look nice too with your own pool. Go there if you want a calm time and get spoiled with good and smiling service.

Wonderful resort. Quiet and Calm right on the beach. Lovely pool and gardens. Very helpful staff. Rooms very nice, I was lucky to get an ocean view from the bungalow, and extra bonus. The beach is great and possible to sit in the shade and enjoy all the water activities. Great breakfast and nice happy hour. No yea restaurant for dinner, but totally fine since there are lots of great options on the street just outside.

We booked a deluxe room for our family of four, which was excellent value for money. The breakfast buffet is one of the best (if not the best! :) we have had anywhere in the world.

Exactly what we needed for a break! Seafront bungalow made all the difference. Literally 5meters from the sea... not many people in the resort only helped us relaxing. The staff was excellent.

The staff was excellent. Beautiful views from bothe the balcony and rooftop bar. The pool was really nice and the food in both the restaurant and bar was good. The 24 hr pick up and go was very well stocked and convenient. The restaurants along the street also had excellent food.

Old Mui Ne (near Phan Thiet) is entertaining and one can find good seafood and western style restaurants. Basically a place for Vietnamese to enjoy the beach. The beach in Mui Ne is much nicer than Vung Tau and it is better accessible than Vung Tau due to the new expressway. With small children Asteria is certainly a good choice. Foreign adults have nothing to do here and they should go to "old" Mui Ne. Or Nha Trang.

Buses from the south are likely to drop you at the beach,...

Buses from the south are likely to drop you at the beach, and transfer you to town with a free minibus shuttle. I stored my luggage at the bus office and walked to Fairy stream, then caught a later shuttle. This was a good way to do it as I hate tours, and only had one more full day to see the sand dunes. Fairy streem is not to be missed.

Value for money, location, service I cannot rate it more highly. Peaceful, communication was easy with the staff, plenty of comfortable day beds to relax around the pool. If u didn’t want to leave and go anywhere this is perfect to park up and relax

The location is great but the problem is the 3 hour drive...

The location is great but the problem is the 3 hour drive from Dallas across the very winding road across the hills I think the drive from HCM is more straightforward but twice as long but around 3hours 30 Minutes. I'd go back but only when the Phan Thiet airport opens in 2025. Next tim I would stay Mui Ne side of Phan Thiet

It is a lovely beach but covered in plastic sadly. The area is very developed for tourism so not pretty behind the beach..but plenty of cheap shops if you like that sort of thing. Our hotel was amazing...without that it would be been less enjoyable.

The Me Bungalow was in a excellent setting and There was plenty to do in surrounding areas Henry the owner organised excursions for us and they were top class . Recommend the Chinese Buddha and dragon fruit farm tour 👍restaurants We’re very good ( and there’s plenty of them ) . But if you don’t want to go out the food at the bungalow is good too . 😋
