Such a beautiful idyll - perfectly located for a day at the national park and with a lovely restaurant onsite. The personnel were super welcoming and the room was immaculately clean.
I really loved the coffee machine in the lounge to grab a nice coffee to enjoy on the little patio. Pool was a lovely relaxing place to while away some hours. The whole plot was incredibly calm and serene - would highly recommend.
PS - note that the ratings outside of WiFi are all 10/10! We had no issues with WiFi while we were there, but equally would not expect perfect WiFi in a rurally located spread out property - seems unfair it brings down the overall ratings!

The entire experience from room comfort and cleanliness to the fabulous restaurant food at breakfast and most specially the dinner...exceptional! On our first night we had one of the best meals of our entire 6 week trip throughout South Africa! The manager, Fred, and his staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We were visiting on the last two days of the season, and we loved the property, very private and safe, and the grounds were charming. We will look forward to a future visit and highly recommend the property when visiting the Addo Elephant park and the region!

Breakfast was perfect, room very good - much more than was required for a few hours sleep (we were never going to spend much time in the rooms). Location was good for the purpose.
Ronnie and Hildelene took a personal interest in the well-being of their guests.
The activities (game drives) on offer were exceptional and took all our time. I wish I had known they are offering these, before I booked a full day with 'Get my guide'.

absolutely amazing place! everything is just PERFECT! we stayed in really nice and luxurious places so far, but Gorah was an absolutely exceptional experience. The camp, the tent, the staff, the game drives, the food, everything was just awesome! The Gorah family puts in SO much love and there were so many details that made this stay so special! We had the best time at Gorah Camp and would come back anytime!

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious apartment, comfortable beds (which have heating!! Important during cold season). Great game drive with very knowledgeable guide Lize - highly recommend! We also requested a little birthday surprise for my friend so they arranged cake, sparkling wine and some flowers that were waiting in the room on our arrival. Very well organized!

Everything was just perfect. The rooms. The Service. The food. The safaris with Nel. So interesting to learn about nature and animals. She she did the safari with so much passion, professionalism and so much fun. Exceptional. We had the best time ever. We stayed for two nights but it felt like a week. Nothing to add. Long Lee Manor makes you feel like you’re in a movie. Stunning colonial architecture with a breathtaking backdrop of the reserve. Coffee/tea, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, always with animals in sight. First time in Africa, first time doing a Safari. We’re in love! All thanks to Shamwari, and the staff and guides at Long Lee Manor!

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The grounds were lovely with a small but sparkling pool with quality towels provided. We had dinner twice, each time delicious, and breakfast twice which was equally plentiful and perfect. This is a real gem.

Recommend a tuck shop at the south entrance gate.
Recommend a tuck shop at the south entrance gate. No snacks , cold.or hot drinks available. Even if this is only available in high season it would make an enormous difference.
Skottle and or braai grids available at Jack's picnic is recommended as is done at Kruger picnic sites . Many braais do not have grids
Only having a shop at the main entrance is inconvenient.

We liked the venue. The environment is beautiful. The road was a challenge, but we knew that we had to come with a 4x4 vehicle and the men knew how to drive on a 4x4 route. It was raining when we arrived and it was cold, but everybody should know not to travel without a jacket.

We did an afternoon Giraffe walk through Bellevue Lodge and...
We did an afternoon Giraffe walk through Bellevue Lodge and it was amazing - we were taken on a safari vehicle onto a game reserve and from there had to find the grazing giraffe. Once we spotted them, we drove close by and then got out of the vehicle to walk close (but not too close) to the giraffe to watch them eat their dinner. It was a lovely experience, and our guide Stephen was knowledgeable and friendly, answering all our questions.
We stayed at the Bellevue Lodge for 1 night, it was a lovely small property with friendly staff.

The accommodation was lovely and very kids friendly. We had an amazing time, very relaxing, kids loved the pool and all the lego. Game drive was an absolute favorite with drinks at a lovely view point. The staff is friendly and we enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone to relax and rewind!

Barefoot is a reasonable size reserve accessed off a 25km...
Barefoot is a reasonable size reserve accessed off a 25km dirt road that can be a little bumpy in places. A 4x4 is recommended particularly if it rains. We opted for a private transfer to and from the airport and Caleb our driver was just a master at navigating the rough roads - well worth the £180 for the transfer (he also took us on a game drive on a neighbouring reserve close to Addo, organised by Barefoot and he was just incredible, so knowledgable and able to track down the elusive rhino - we would seriously recommend). The Barefoot reserve doesn’t have the big 5 and the 3 Barefoot elephants are cared for by dedicated keepers who spend all their days walking with them as they roam around the reserve. At night the elephants are housed in a very large protected paddock to ensure their safety. You will see giraffe, wilderbeast, zebra as a minimum - they come in herds to graze around the villa of an evening which is an incredible sight. The views from the villa are breathtaking as it sits on its own on a hilltop. There’s good WiFi, no TV (which for us was a good thing), beds were so comfy and the staff - Olivia and Soso just made our stay perfect 🥰

We stayed at Dungbeetle River Lodge for 2 nights while visiting Addo. We arrived in the late afternoon and then took a full day game drive from the lodge. It was a bit much for us and would do a morning game drive next time. The experience was awesome, it was just too long for our pensioner bodies! Staying 2 nights was perfect because the evening gave us a nice recovery period before we hit the road for our return to Cape Town. Dungbeetle River Lodge was a perfect location from which to travel into Addo. It's literally 3 minutes from the south gate of the park.

We have been to Addo probably 40 times and just never get enough of it, and once again on rare occassions, saw a lioness up close. As always there were plenty of Buffalo, Elephant, Zebra, Red Hardebeest, Warthog, Kudu, and oh! a Hyena!

Not a quaint little tourist town, and somewhat disappointed with our stay (for choice of shops, restaurants and ease of access to the river, lack of info for St Croix marine reserve).
The Sand dunes are spectacular, but also not easy to access as on private property. The day visit permit is affordable (via Pearson resort) yet this information is not easily available to visitors.
Close proximity to Addo South Gate which is great.
Some marketing PR would go a long way!
