My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Tropical House. They have a super great breakfast, an amazing pool and friendly staff! It is nicely located in a quiet area not far from the main street. We truly enjoyed this wonderful oasis!

Peaceful location. The owner and the staff are amazing people, always ready to help you with whatever you need. Very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are perfect and very clean. It is like a 5 star hotel room. You have a nice patio/balcony in front of your door where you can sit, relax and enjoy the peacefullness of the location.

We loved the set up of the resort which is very boutique like: only 5 houses with both a balcony and your own rooftop. Beautifully landscaped garden. A pool you can dive into at any given moment. Amazing breakfast with fresh local products. Total tranquility, yet only a short tuk tuk ride from buzzing Hilladuwa!

The entire experience was amazing. Everything was so well curated, from the entry drinks to the welcome foot cleansing rituals to the entire facility on its own. This was one of the best experiences we have had while travelling! The service was immaculate, the personalised butler assigned to us namely Nalinka was an absolute sweetheart and made our stay 10x more comfortable and elevated the overall experience. He made sure we felt at home and ensured we were most comfortable during our entire stay! If you do end up going do make sure Nalinka is your server/butler for the stay you won’t regret it!

We got upgraded to a room with a balcony which was great although the other room we booked appeared nice as well. The pool was nice (two of them). We were there when it was very quiet out of season so very relaxing and no issues with sunbeds etc. We ate at the restaurant 2 out of 3 nights, the meals/staff were very good. Location was right on the main road in the middle of town so a short walk anywhere and easy access to the beach.

Nice hotel with a great rooftop pool, the team is very nice and happy to help. The location is close to the beach. I am not sure about the price - quality ration in Hikkaduwa but was nice but not exceptional, compared to other places in Sri Lanka.
