The remoteness of this lodge means you are more likely to encounter wildlife than in the more populated area of Sauraha. There were rhinoceros grazing each early morning in the river and the jeep safari brought us up close and personal. The guide is also extremely knowledgeable. This remoteness also gives you the calm, quiet and completely relaxing experience. The staff were absolutely exceptional, going well beyond the standard to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay the best it can possibly be. It is highly eco-sustainable, avoiding plastic wherever possible, the majority of staff are hired from the local community and they try to purchase as much food and services also from the local community. This investment helps reduce locals reliance on income sources that may be more harmful to the environment and wildlife. Is it expensive? When compared to other Nepalese accommodation and services, yes. Is it worth it though? Absolutely!

we liked everything about the property. it was a tranquil oasis and a much needed break from city life. the staff are absolutely incredible, so attentive and they showed us such kindness and made us feel very at home. we went on a jeep safari with some of the staff and had a fantastic time, even though we didn’t see a tiger, we still saw lots of incredible jungle wildlife and it was a dream to be that immersed in nature. food is exceptional, all very fresh and the chefs and serving staff are all really lovely.

Tiger Wildlife Resort was my home for two weeks. Besides the beauty of the place, perfect for those who seek quiet surroundings, what was truly remarkable is the care I received as a guest here. I felt like a VIP, a princess even, as the owners, Gambir, and the rest of the team, went out of their way to make my stay absolutely perfect. I was given what I believe is the best room on the property, with a balcony facing the park, from which every morning I would see all sorts of animals: deers, rhinos, boars and countless birds (among which peacocks and black storks and openbills) The food here is absolutely excellent, always freshly made and very tasty. The chef is so sweet, always doing his best to satisfy my (many!) requests. The safaris and tours were also lovely experiences, as the parks in the area have lots to offer. I recommend taking the time to visit Tikauli and the 20k lake. I also enjoyed walking around the rural village and talking to a few locals who seem to adore foreigners. In general, I would imagine staying here about 5 days is enough to tick all the touristy stuff of the list... unless - like me - you're not in a rush about seeing this and that, maybe you work online and enjoy taking some time away from more mundane life.. then stay as long as your heart feels and discover how wholesome it is to become a Tiger Wildlife family member ! A Perfect Nature Retreat! I had an amazing stay at River Bank Jungle Resort. Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, it’s the perfect place to unwind. The staff were friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile. The food was fresh, flavorful, and a highlight of my visit. The rooms were clean, and cozy, and offered a peaceful connection to nature. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for great hospitality, delicious food, and a serene escape! 10/10!

Beautiful modern hotel in lodge style design, nice big rooms and always clean and tidy. The staff in areas of this hotel are extremely well trained and courteous. The restaurant staff are all fabulous and it would be unfair to mention any individual but can’t name them all, so a 5/5 for every single one of them. My wife used the spa for 2 treatments and she thought it was excellent with very lovely professional staff. We did two safari tours one by elephant and one by jeep., both were excellent and a special mention here for our guide Suki who was extremely knowledgeable and we were lucky to have him for both of excursions booked with the hotel. I recommend staying at the Soaltee West End to anyone who wants top level service and care from arrival to departure.

I didn‘t know what it means living together in a community but now I know it. I experienced the jungle safari with the jeep and an amazing, english speaking guide, doing some bicycling with the cycles of community members enjoying the sunset at the agriculture, meeting students on the way to school, doing some fishing and collecting snails in the river, eating local food and dancing with the women group. I also enjoyed drinking the clean and refreshing water and taking a shower at the chwadi while talking to the community. The friendly and helpful staff is preparing delicious food by using regional and fresh products.
