Quiet and relaxing hotel with a mostly adult crowd, but also families with teenagers. Breakfast from 6:30 to 11:00 is a big advantage. Beautiful water features give a Japanese garden vibe. High-quality interior, very tasteful design. Gym is okay, but could use more treadmills. Great place for a peaceful stay.

The room was spacious, elegantly designed and had a wonderful view out to sea (we were in a Grand Deluxe close to reception, so the relative height at the top of a hill offered a great vantage point). Breakfast was outstanding with tonnes of vegetarian (and gluten-free) options, which was wonderful as so many Thai breakfasts tend to be so meat-heavy - this was a welcome break. The staff were courteous and friendly without exception, and the a/c in the room managed to keep the room cool despite the humidity outside. Visiting in low season was superb value, and honestly with just a few minutes of rain on one of our three day stay, a June visit is really a no-brainer, especially as nearby Khaolak is so quiet and crowd-free during this time. Walking around the resort is a pleasure - if you're lazy and don't consider walking in lush vegetation to be enjoyable, then go stay somewhere flat.

Beautiful property. And the staff was exceptional. Housekeeping was soo prompt and cleaned our room almost 3 times a day. They also were very good and provided ample water in the room and any amenities we needed. Food was superb at all the restaurants.

Location was beautiful. We really enjoyed eating our meals at the edge of the beach. The resort was spotless and there were always sunbeds available to us. The staff were lovely. I would highly recommend a stay there and look forward to returning myself.

Our stay at the Marriott Beach Resort & Spa in Khao Lak was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Everything exceeded our expectations and made for a truly unforgettable holiday. The breakfast was exceptional—incredibly varied, high-quality, and beautifully presented, with options for every taste, both Western and Asian. All of the resort’s restaurants are excellent, offering consistently delicious food and a great dining experience. The staff truly deserve special recognition. Everyone was friendly and professional, but Bob and his team at the reception desk stood out for their outstanding service. They were extremely helpful, attentive, and genuinely customer-focused, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, providing everything you would expect from a top-tier Marriott resort. Relaxing by the Quiet Pool was wonderfully peaceful, perfect for unwinding. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful—pristine, expansive, and ideal for enjoying stunning sunsets. The surrounding area also offers some great dining options. There are several excellent local restaurants nearby, with Blue Sky being a definite must-visit. In short, this resort offers the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and relaxation. We would highly recommend it and would love to return in the future!

The property is BEAUTIFUL, and a haven right off of a busy main road. You won't hear any traffic sounds, as your rooms face greenery, palm trees, and green hills. The staff goes out of their way to help, and the property is a gem--one of my favorites in all of Thailand for peace. The rooms are clean and modern, and if you switch rooms or need to go out, the staff will transport your luggage and hide it from sight so everything is safe. It's located more at the end of the main road, and if you walk 45 minutes, you can even reach the national park up the road. Would definitely stay here again!

This is my second visit to Avani + Khao Lak two years in a row. This is now my therapeutic retreat for me and my family. My kids are so in love with the place especially the kids club. I was so happy to see that most of the staff that I met last year are still at the resort and working tirelessly to keep up with all their guests’ requests. Please keep up this great work you’re all doing and I’ happy this year I was lucky to enjoy a less rainy weather and swam at the beach most of my stay.

It is right on a very beautiful beach which we loved! But slightly isolated I guess if you don’t go for the all inclusive at the resort. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable

-Beautiful resort with three modern designed swimming pools close to clean sea, what can you expect more? -All inclusive package good value for money as drinks are unlimited from 11am to 11pm, plus gelatos -Malin&Goetz toiletries and body lotion!

This is one of the best value resorts I have stayed in. The staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are very practical for travelling with a baby. The all inclusive package was incredible value for money. We will definitely be coming back. We were particularly appreciative of Ae and Oilly extra efforts to entertain our 6 month old baby while we were eating meals.

loved the laid back vibe, the staff were attentive, smiley and couldn’t do enough. Vee went above and beyond and she really is the face of this little gem. it’s a lovely little retreat - it’s not a 5* beach resort, much more personal and we loved it. Breakfast was perfect and we loved the beach - enough sun beds - 40m over the little road and it’s so peaceful - nothing like being a sardine on a European beach.

The resort is amazingly beautiful. Great pools, great food, the beach is beautiful and clean- what more could you want! We also really enjoyed the pool bar. The two bartenders Nanny and Wan went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They were incredibly friendly and make a great Cuba Libre. We will be back! PS the all inclusive option is well worth the small amount extra - so many choices!

Right on the beach. Chay who worked at the restaurant is a great guy and very helpful and also the rest of the staff. Really good prices for the bungalows and tasty food at the restaurant. The beach is clean and the sun chairs are includet the price of the stay. Last year we stayed at Kantary beach restort who is a 4-star resort intil Ao Thong beach resort but really prefer the smaller Ao Thong who is much nicer. At big resorts you don’t have the same contact with the staff as the smaller family runned resorts. We will come back..

Breakfast was the best ,lot of choices.. The room is big and beautiful deco,really high quality deco and furnitures.it is a luxury resort. Beautiful garden outside,big swimming pool.
