Beautiful little resort on a tropical island. Food was simple but well prepared, mainly fish. I have to say - the fish dishes were some of the best I ate ever. Nice snorkeling straight off the beach. The staff are nice and helpful, especially the dive master Is and the lady that cooks the food. This is a tropical island in the middle of nowhere, so don't expect western style luxuries, The diving is reasonably priced and good quality. Perfect for a few days "off the grid". BTW... the wifi was pretty good.

Large comfortable bungalows. Pleasant helpful staff. Beautiful situation with views to the sea and mountains. Loungers with pads. Nice swimming pool.

Not only the food was amazing, literally amazing, but the house guest were exceptional. Always making you feel comfortable, they have the best customer service I’ve experienced in Sulawesi! If you have any trouble they always try to find a good solution !!! We stayed in august for about a week and it was a very good experience, you can dive to see beautiful things, go see the volcano and much more ! The beds were amazing … I’d go again with any doubts we recommend 10/10 !!!

What a gem! We’ve traveled a lot, and this place has probably the most curated and naturally beautiful beach we’ve ever visited. The service is at a really high level, the staff is extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Everything is perfectly curated, and we were spoiled from the moment we stepped in. Snacks are served morning and afternoon, and we had to tell them to stop brining us (delicious) food. Main meals are fresh, locally sourced, and delicious. The manager, Toki, is highly experienced, and even took us strolling around and exploring the nearby area. He joined us several times at the table, and at the end, we felt we were part of their family. Thank you Toki, Micheal and all staff. Leaving this hidden paradise was extremely sad. We will return for sure!

Hos Sunmoon Beach Resort Likupang Timur i Pulau Mogogimbun er der havudsigt, en have, et privat strandområde, en terrasse, en restaurant og en bar. Sun moon was a fabulous location not far from Bitung and right on the beach. The accommodation and communal spaces were of exceptional standard as was every meal. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming also great to spend time chatting with. Can’t recommend sunmoon enough and look forward to returning one day.,

Lekker Gezellig Dive Resort Manado ligger i Bunaken, 13 km fra Manado-havnen, og har en udendørs swimmingpool, en have og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. Dette hotel har 2 stjerner. This was a good value place to stay, extremely close to Bunaken where the diving was great. The staff were helpful and friendly with everything we needed. The room was clean and very comfortable.

Wawowow ligger i Tomohon, 33 km fra Manado-havnen, og har en have, en terrasse og en restaurant samt gratis privat parkering. Wawowow is a very special place. But it’s not for everyone. If you want to be away from city sounds and pollution, way out in the peace of the countryside among farms and mountain views — and if you are a person who enjoys the ruggedness of tent or A-frame cabin camping, then you will love Wawowow. Alvin has built this off-the-grid retreat himself, adding to it each year. He and his staff are caring and helpful. The well laid out grounds are covered in lawns and most if not all tents and cabins have small brick firepits. Alvin can provide the firewood for them. When I was there a number of people sat around these campfires at night singing and playing guitars. No sound amplification is allowed. Some people chose to stay on the grounds for several days. I used it as a jumping off place each morning to tour different parts of the Tomohon area each day., returning each evening.

We had an excellent 7 night stay at K2 Lembeh. The owner and the staff are outstanding. Sharon, the owner, communicated in a timely manner, answering all questions before we arrived, and then helping with arrangements during our stay via WhatsApp. Irra, who is in charge of the house and restaurant staff, was efficient and conscientious and very kind. She took care of all the details and even arranged for me to accompany her on a shopping trip to a huge market in Bitung on a day I was not able to dive. It is one of my trip highlights. Man, who is in charge of overall operations, and the dive experience, could not have been any more helpful. From arranging the details of our transportation, to taking me, after hours, into Bitung to see a doctor for an ear infection (he made the appointment, guided me to it, and stayed with me to help me figure out what was needed), to directing our dives, he always went above and beyond. You can tell that he takes pride in the operation and is very conscientious about making each guest’s stay a good experience. Fiki, our dive guide, was one of the best I have had. He was excellent at finding all those cool Lembeh Strait critters, and I also always felt very safe diving with him as he was always aware of us in the water, and was encouraging and thoughtful to me, a still slightly uncomfortable diver. The food was delicious—lots of local dishes, lots of vegetables and fresh fish. It is served as a buffet in an open area with a stunning view down the hill and to the Strait. There are a lot of steep stairs up to the dining area, but we did not mind them. The guests shared a table for meals which I really liked, as we met so many interesting travelers. The cabins are spacious, with a deck and a fine view, AC that works well, and your own carboy of water, with both hot and cold-water options.
