I highly recommend using the villa as your base for exploring Mihintale’s many sites (walkable from the villa) and for taking a 30-minute bus or tuk tuk to Anuradhapura. Pro tip: do NOT miss sunrise at Mihintale Rock/Temple Complex, sunset at Rajagiri Caves, a meditative walk through Kaludiya Pokuna, and a nighttime bike ride to the many holy sites of Anuradhapura.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the Pearl of The Jungle private tree house on the property. Sameera and his staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed 2 dinners and breakfast each morning- the food was absolutely wonderful… would highly recommend for this alone. Our treehouse was quiet and extremely comfortable. The open air bathroom was nice and clean. We would live at the Mutu village if we could!

The staff were super friendly at all times. We really loved the food, breakfast has a big variety of dishes and it was delicious! The bungalow is amazing too, a comfortable and beautiful place in the middle of nature with a private pool - we enjoyed a lot! I highly recommend!
