This place is all about it's people. Roshan and his family go above and beyond to make your stay special. The food, all locally sourced and home made, is an experience in itself. Roshan also arranged the Safari for us, with a very experienced driver. Sandmal, our driver is very good at spotting animals. We saw leopards, elephants, sloth bears, and many other animals and birds during our full day Safari. Do take a quick walk down to the secret tranquil lake for an amazing sunset view.

Suga the hotel manager is lovely and the team were all really attentive. It is situated right by an entrance to Wilpattu National Park and you feel so connected to the nature. There’s only 3 cabins in the property so you have lots of privacy and they feel really spacious and new. The highlight was the firepit and BBQ organised by the hotel team outdoors under the stars!

Basic accommodation but loved the location, tranquility and sounds of surrounding nature. Food was lovely. Sampath and his wife, Ajanta, were the perfect hosts and so helpful. He organised our safari, helped us with a visit to the doctor, took us fishing at the nearby lake and his son came to do a karaoke one night. All very enjoyable and loved Wilpattu NP. An unforgettable experience. My kids loved the frogs!
