Offering an outdoor pool and a spa and wellness centre, Barahi Jungle Lodge is located in Meghauli. Free Wi-Fi access is available in this resort.

The property is located on the banks of the Rapti River, 32 km away from Bharatpur Domestic Airport and Narayan Ghat Bus Stand. The famous Chitwan National Park is 100 metres away. The remoteness of this lodge means you are more likely to encounter wildlife than in the more populated area of Sauraha. There were rhinoceros grazing each early morning in the river and the jeep safari brought us up close and personal. The guide is also extremely knowledgeable. This remoteness also gives you the calm, quiet and completely relaxing experience. The staff were absolutely exceptional, going well beyond the standard to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay the best it can possibly be. It is highly eco-sustainable, avoiding plastic wherever possible, the majority of staff are hired from the local community and they try to purchase as much food and services also from the local community. This investment helps reduce locals reliance on income sources that may be more harmful to the environment and wildlife. Is it expensive? When compared to other Nepalese accommodation and services, yes. Is it worth it though? Absolutely!

Located in Chitwan, 3.5 km from Tharu Cultural Museum, Banbas Resort, Chitwan provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a restaurant. Among the various facilities of this property are a bar and a range of water sports facilities. The accommodation offers room service and free WiFi throughout the property. Banbas is a hidden gem! From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was stepping into the national park. The property is right outside the national park, but it genuinely feels like part of it. The pond and wetland are teeming with life—100+ bird species, fish swimming around (a staff noted that fish are fed with waste food from the hotel kitchen!), and even a waterfall in the pool area. It’s so peaceful! The rooms are villa-style, super comfortable, and have amazing views of the pond. I loved the Tharu-style artwork in the decor—such a nice touch that celebrates local culture. The property is also wheelchair-friendly, which I really appreciated. The staff was fantastic—welcoming me with drinks and flowers at check-in. The food was a perfect mix of local and international dishes, and everything felt thoughtfully curated. Can’t wait to visit again!
