The Reef Island Resort Mactan, Cebu has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and bar. With free WiFi, this 4.5-star hotel offers a private beach area. Breakfast was very good, food of high quality and cooked to perfection. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Staff was always helpful, attentive and friendly.

All the staff, including the owner, were amazing: friendly, helpful and answered every question regarding whalesharks and transportation with a smile. Loved the view of the ocean, and hearing the waves. The artworks that decorate the hotel give a unique and relaxed feel. It was never busy. No problems with WiFi. The phone number listed didn't work, but the owner says you can find them on FB. Google had the location correct, (since it was hard to see the hotel sign) . Staff will help you pre-book a whaleshark slot, which means you skip the very long walk in line. It's about a 20-30 min motorbike ride to get there.

Situated in Badian, Cuestas Beach Resort and Restaurant features a private beach area, not sandbar. We have an amazing coral reefs around 130 mtrs. from shoreline. Beautiful property with nice restaurant, simple but comfortable bamboo huts, a nice swimming pool, beach access and an amazingly welcoming owner and staff. They really put on Badian and Cebu best foot forward. Also very helpful with the Kawasan Falls expedition which I highly recommend.
