Popular points of interest near the riad include Hassan Tower, Moroccan Parliament and National Office for Hydrocarbons and Mining. Rabat-Salé Airport is 11 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. This is one of the most exceptional hotel or stay I stayed in across many countries. Every little detail is well thought through, from checking when we will arrive, to the hospitality, complementary tea upon arrival at the rooftop, and helping out with our luggage. What sealed the deal to choose this hotel in Rabat was the golden bathroom you will see in the pictures… but honestly, everything about the design makes it a true authentic moroccan experience. It felt extremely homely and the staff made us feel comfortable at every question we had. We got recommendations on where to go in Rabat, on a map when we arrived which was very thoughtful and helpful… One of the amazing thing about this place is the location, it’s truly strategic and walking distance to all the landmarks you will want to see, just make sure you have your walking shoes on and ready to get those steps in 😆… The room was very clean. The breakfast was insanely good! With fresh orange juice, tea and coffee and Moroccan cuisine, there is nothing more I would ask for. In fact, when we went for breakfast, we found that a table was already set for us before even arriving. It was extremely sweet and one of the most delicious breakfasts I had, which made us ask if we can have lunch there, and my God the Tagine and Royal Couscous was unreal! The food literally melted in my mouth, it was definitely the best meal we had in Morocco and I am not exaggerating, but it was one of the best dishes I had in my life. It was food made with love and cooked to perfection with the right amount of spices. I couldn’t recommend it more, please try their tagine! Our train was later at night and we wanted to extend our stay/ check out late, but unfortunately it was already booked… Nonetheless, we received the most welcomed stay, to keep our luggage and chill at the rooftop/lounge area. It was the first day of eid and we were a bit anxious to find a taxi, and so they helped us to get a taxi to the train station.

The best Riad ever! Safa, her mother and staff make you feel like home. Her lovely personality, hospitality, sense of humour made us feel like we were visiting family. The riad is localized in the historic city center, walking distance from most of Rabat attractions. It is at a side street so it really quiet. The riad itself is really nice and very elegant. Rooms are spacious, super clean and comfortable. Breakfast served on the nice rooftop terrace was really delicious, varied and plentiful. Good coffee.
Diner was also great. We had really great time and would love to come back. Safa thank you for everything!

1. Good location (in the Medina, quiet place) 2. Traditional Moroccan Riad house very cozy.
We loved everything about Dar Shann: the tastefully decorated spaces, everywhere you look, with repect to historical Moroccan's periods, beautiful and comfortable room, lovely courtyard potted garden and rooftop pool, the breakfast quarters with ambiant music, the delicious breakfasts and the kind staff members.
We had such a lovely stay in Rabat thanks to Riad Dar Yannis. We had a very warm welcome after a "bumpy" ride from the airport. The staff welcomed us with traditional Moroccan mint tea and helped us with our luggage to go up to our rooms. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfast is plentiful and delicious! All in all, we really loved our stay and we would love to come back there one day!
Beautifully decorated traditional Moroccan riad. Good breakfast, nice rooftop, very nice bedrooms, friendly staff and good location.
This Riad is well located in medina and close to restaurants in the modern part. Parking was a short walk away. Staff peasant and helpful, breakfast was very good as we also got yoghurt and fruits in additions to the traditional Moroccan breads and crepes. Room was spacious , large bathroom and comfortable bed.
Simply gorgeous. We took many pictures in the atrium. The rooms with the ridiculously high ceilings are beautiful, too. All the staff were super attentive, and we had a very interesting conversation with Reta who speaks perfect English and shared some deep insights with us. The riad is located on a nicer street in the medina with loads of plants, and some cute cats.
A charming riad in Rabat's medina. Traditional architecture with some contemporary touches. Nice, well-appointed rooms surrounding a relaxing courtyard, great rooftop with a tiny pool. Helpful staff, excellent breakfast, good value for money: strongly recommended + will be back soon!
one of the most beautiful Riads I‘ve been to in Morocco. rooftop pool is quite unique and something you don’t find elsewhere in the Medina of Rabat. staff was more than friendly - the house- own restaurant served traditional Moroccan dishes, just delicious. highly recommended.
Really authentic traditional Moroccan Riad. I appreciated the warm welcome with some lovely Moroccan mint tea and the breakfast was really nice and great value for money, it was probably the nicest coffee I had in Morocco. The rooms are nice and simple and the shared bathrooms are kept clean.
