The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The pool was lovely and there was a variety of seating options in the gardens. We were happy to be able to have dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was basic but adequate.

The pool was clean and it being both indoors and outdoors made it great for any time of day.
The common spaces were beautiful.
The room was spacious and the view amazing.
Lots of lovely walks around the area.
The wedding that took place there was executed very well.

The location is spectacular - birdwatching from your room window, easy access to neighbouring trails, lovely and quiet at night if you choose the lake side. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The onsite restaurant is very good for both dinner and breakfast.

The man who checked us in was exceptionally pleasant and made sure we had all the info we needed. He was much more cordial than the day desk staff. Breakfast was lovely...a wide assortment of food and fruit and the hot foods were great. The 2 gals who did the breakfast were just so pleasant ...it was a pleasure going down for breakfast. I must also complement the booking skills at the Hilltop as we had 2 tours and a hockey weekend and the noise level was exceptionally low!!
