Everything! The hotel was an ingenious combination of traditional and contemporary. Spotless! The food was super. People queuing up outside the restaurant! The staff were charming and poor not do enough for us!

Alejandras B&B "El Navegante" is very conveniently located on Cerro Concepcion, very near to most tourist hotspots in Valparaiso. At the same time, it is in a quiet side street in a safe area, which makes it an excellent option for a good night`s rest. The rooms are very tastefully decorated, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom sparkling clean. Alejandra, the host, was very friendly and helpful during our stay. Also, a very good breakfast was served to our room at the time we specified. Communication with Alejandra (via WhatsApp) was very easy and she supplied us with many useful tipps. Though there are three floors of rooms, the property has more of an intimate bed and breakfast feel while still highly attentive to all guests needs. They had beautiful breakfast spreads laid out, were extremely helpful in restaurant and activity recommendation - especially over the holidays with a lot of closures. The spa area was also a great feature. It's a great location at the top of uptown Valpo.

It has a nice roofterrace with a great view. A kitchen-net where we could make our own coffees in the morning. Great atmosphere created with wooden floors, crafts and nice furniture. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We were lucky enough to have booked the top floor balcony room. 2 steep floors of steps lead to a large room with separate bath as well as an ensuite and two balconies offering an amazing view of Valparaiso, it's port and views of the arts district and its eclectic array of buildings and homes and ubiquitous murals.....brilliantly positioned to explore the areas streets.....the building itself is character filled....amazing staff were so friendly and tolerant of our Tarzan attempts at Spanish.....one of our best stays anywhere!
