Fantastic hotel in central Ostrava. Housed in a historic building. Rooms are huge and nicely decorated - opt for a Privilege room if you want even more space and a free minibar, for an only slightly higher price. Location is unbeatable, 8 minutes by tram and 30 minutes walking from the main train station, centrally located, 4 minutes walk from Stodolni Street. Tons of dining options near the hotel, plus for self catering an Albert Supermarket (open long hours 7 days a week) a 3 minutes walk away. Staff very nice and helpful. Wifi fast. Mercure is usually solid, but this one certainly exceeds expectations.

David and Kamila (the hosts) were very kind and friendly. They try everything to make you feel comfortable. The breakfast was very good and tasty. It's a really nice location with chirping crickets all around. The pub offers a very large selection of whiskey, rum and wine.

The quiet position opposite the park is ideal, and only 10 minutes walk from the city centre. The staff is very kind and always willing to help. Breakfast buffet is very good quality and it offers a wide choice of food. The room I was given was very big and silent as I had originally required.
