Following a warm welcome from our host, we so enjoyed our stay in this wonderful old house which has been in the family for two centuries. Our room and bathroom were a very good size, spotlessly clean, and in keeping with the historic and elegant decor of the place. We really enjoyed exploring the many rooms where guests could go to relax, and loved the many old family photographs and the decorative details encountered at every turn. The courtyard and the walkways with the hydrangeas and roses were absolutely beautiful. It was also the perfect location to explore Astorga, being just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral. Fantastic place.

"0ld Charm" property but absolutely up to date. Located in the historical city centre, Plaza Espana, with a magic view from the hotel balcony on the Plaza and the adjacent historical Aiuntamiento building. Hotel located a short walk from the two most important landmarks in Astorga (Cathedral & Gaudi-designed Episcopal Palace) &, if you fancy, another 5 min walk to Astorga's chocolate museum. Superb & very attentive hotel staff, all speaking English ( the latter so much missing in the Spanish hospitality industry) if your Spanish is non- existent or rusty. Also at the Plaza there are always some bars open during that notorious 2 - 5 pm Spanish siesta shut- down.

The walls of the room are a quiet blue, the bathroom is very spacious and bright with blue and white tiles, and the small balcony is full of flowers. This environment gave me one of the best nights of sleep along the way. Before leaving in the early morning, the owner gave me a glass of fresh orange juice and stood at the door to watch me leave. Thank you for such a wonderful farewell.
