Hotel located in a secluded area in the middle of the Basque mountains but close enough to key locations. The rooms were spacious and with character. Staff was super friendly and helpful. As there is no bar or restaurant, guests are allowed to bring their own food and drinks and use it in the communal hotel facilities, which is very convenient. There is also free hot drinks and cakes (baked onsite) in the reception area. The hotel has super views and its a great place to hideaway and rest after a busy day visiting the sourrunging areas. Have I mentioned breakfast.... OMG! Soooo nice and abundant. All fresh, bread made on site, freshly squeezed orange juice and an amazing variety to enjoy a traditional Basque/Spanish breakfast. We'll definitely come back.

What a treat to stay at this amazing place in the quaint village of Garai, just above the larger town of Durango. Staff is incredible (thanks to Olatz for warm welcome and Irune for delicious breakfast and excellent tips on sites in the area!). Rooms are very cozy, we had amazing views of the mountains. The entire hotel is decorated so tastefully. We highly recommend the Herriko restaurant in town, a short stroll from hotel. Garai is an excellent base to explore the Basque region.

Agritourism Aristieta is set in a rustic stone building, 5 minutes’ drive from Gernika-Lumo and 33 km from Bilbao. Set in kiwi and apple orchards, it offers free WiFi and free on-site parking.

A good selection for breakfast. Receptionist (Ainhoa?) was extremely helpful providing us with advice on places to visit. The hotel was only a few minutes walk to the restaurants, shops etc.

The location is excellent, right by the old arched bridge and close to everything. The room for our family of 4 was very spacious. The owners were very nice. We enjoyed our stay.
