We enjoyed an all too brief stay at this lovely, peaceful hotel. The 3 main public rooms exude relaxed elegance, with roaring fires and beautiful yet comfy furniture. We can also highly recommend the breakfasts, for the varied choice, presentation and flavour. The staff were helpful and the lovely lady who served our breakfasts, could not have been more charming.

The Abbotsford is a spacious Victorian property, refurbished in a contemporary style. It was featured as one of the top 10 bed and breakfasts in GB by Yours magazine.

We were caught up by a road closure. I called to warn them of our late arrival. Sophie was ever so kind to email me with instructions for checking in by ourselves. The room was comfortable, spacious and neat. Breakfast was also delicious and generous. We couldn’t have asked for more!

Sharon & Davide were great. So personable & friendly, they have a lovely home, we enjoyed the sun room & garden. There's even a lovely walking path behind the house. We meet a couple of locals so nice and friendly. The food was excellent. Davide made a delicious 3 course Italian dinner & breakfast was awesome as well , I had the full Scottish breakfast & my spouse the salmon & scrambled eggs. The room was clean & comfortably, even had a coffee, tea & hot chocolate station with cookies. I would highly recommend staying at their B&B

The coziest place we have been in! John and Scott are fantastic hosts, their breakfast is delicious and we felt very much at home at this place. Great location to discover the area.

The location was convenient and because of that I thought my room might be noisy but it was amazingly quiet by 9 pm . Our supper was very good and we really enjoyed the outdoor roofed terrace. Our rooms were lovely, small but with all the amenities and very stylish for such an old building. Character and style. Breakfast in the morning was terrific, best haggis ever!
