The location was better than we had expected. Our room was spacious, with a beautiful semi-firm bed. No noise from outside, and we slept like angels. Breakfast was romantic, overlooking the water. There is an excellent selection of help-yourself continental style and warm breakfasts from the menu. The staff were always super professional and cheerful. Chester's town centre is a 10-minute stroll along many historical landmarks, restaurants, and shops.

With a garden that leads onto a lovely canalside footpath, The Cheshire Cat by Innkeeper's Collection offers free private parking.

Check in was easy, the rooms were good and breakfast was exceptional and excellent value for my sister who had not prebooked breakfast.

The hotel had a clean, swanky vibe! Room was spacious although a bit old fashioned, bathroom was quite spacious as well specially as per English standards. Loved the easily accessible free parking and the lovely breakfast spread.

Doubletree by Hilton Chester is set in an 18th-century manor house with 12 acres of landscaped gardens. The hotel is just outside Chester, a 2-minute drive from the M53 motorway.

Lovely, quiet and elegant. I would have liked to stay longer to enjoy the b grounds. My suitcase had been lost by National Express and when I arrived at midnight the whole staff at the desk turned out to help me file a claim, make me tea, etc. Thanks to Susan and the rest of them my bag was found!
